Average oater following four women, Dickinson, Gray, Schuyler, and Mara, who are kicked out of town for helping a hated outlaw escape capture. The ladies are put on the next stagecoach, but the coach breaks down, and the passengers must hole up in an out-of-the-way inn run by meek Marlowe.
Soon after, an outlaw gang arrives, led by whip-wielding crook Richards. The gang is awaiting the arrival of the next stage, which bears the governor of Kentucky, whom the crooks plan to kidnap for a large ransom. Then they will run to Mexico. After taking much grief from the gang, Marlowe
