Overly complex and glossy soap opera with several stories going at once. Crawford (she of the wide shoulders) is a tough businesswoman editing a number of readables and having an affair with a married man we never see. There's a little of Ginger Rogers in LADY IN THE DARK as well as Helen Gurley Brown in SEX AND THE SINGLE GIRL here. Her frustrated sex life causes her to wreak havoc on her employees.
