This WW II action film follows the exploits of David Mcvey (James MacArthur), the son of a wealthy businessman, who arrives in the Philippines on December 8, 1941, after the Japanese have attacked Pearl Harbor and turned their attention to the Philippines. McVey hooks up with the hardened fighter Joe Trent (Van Heflin), who keeps a watchful eye over his inexperienced new friend.
