Radio personality Allen plays a flea-circus operator who discovers that he's inherited $12 million from a granduncle. He also learns that the money is missing. (Most of it is stuffed in a chair.) The movie revolves around Allen's frantic search for his inheritance. Allen meets Benny who
lampoons his own stingy radio character. Bendix plays a racketeer who can't abide guns being fired and runs a gang inherited from his mother. A small but lively comedy. Screenwriter Alma Reville was the wife of Alfred Hitchcock and cooperated with him on many of his early pictures including THE 39
STEPS and THE LADY VANISHES.
