Rating:

This amiable musical of gobs on shore leave in Hollywood lacks the snap of ON THE TOWN but holds up when young Sinatra croons "I Fall in Love Too Easily" and when Kelly gets the chance to dance with animated mouse Jerry of "Tom & Jerry" fame. The technique of live action mixed with

cartoons has been done often since then, most notably in 1988's WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, but it has never been done to better advantage than in this film. Pamela Britton's comic relief Brooklyn girl feels more authentic than the sticky sentiments of Pekinese Grayson. A pleasant, mindless

diversion.
