Larry David — The Early Days

In the first seasons of production on Curb there was always more fear that a show would come up short instead of long, so directors would overshoot and regretfully cut scenes they'd grown to like. Frequent director Robert Weide said Larry David was always particularly unsentimental about trashing funny material in service of a tighter show, and remembers regularly removing entire storylines for time. David was so unattached to these kinds of details that he wouldn't even mention them in the show's DVD extras — a convention of modern TV viewing he finds sort of pointless.

Top 5 Curb Quotes from "Thor"

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Premiere Dates:
-July 6, 2010 on TV Guide Network
-September 30, 2001 on HBO

Notes on the Episode:

- Robert Weide directs. It's a Susie episode, so it's going to focus on Larry doing something perverted because that's when she gets to tee up and scream. Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 1 - Episode 10 - Larry David and Cheryl Hines

Premiere Dates:

June 30, 2010 on TV Guide Network
December 17, 2000 on HBO

Highlights:

- Larry's obsession with curvy women and Larry deals with a subculture's rules. In this case, the subculture is Survivors of Incest. This is the finale of the first season and a Robert Weide directed episode. The episodes directed by Robert Weide tend to have much quicker jokes and more montages of Larry doing awful things. Larry Charles, the other primary director of Curb Your Enthusiasm, tends to let scenes play out much longer.
