NCIS: What Does DiNozzo's Ex Mean for Tony and Ziva?

Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly, Perrey Reeves

Much like his character on NCIS, Michael Weatherly has a tough time taking things seriously.

So when asked about the arrival Tony DiNozzo's ex-fiancée Wendy (Perrey Reeves) on Tuesday's episode (8/7c, CBS), Weatherly can't help but crack wise. "I like to think they named her Wendy because DiNozzo is Peter Pan," he tells TVGuide.com... read more

Jennifer Beals on Her Castle Role: "I Wasn't Interested in a Catfight"

Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic and Jennifer Beals

Jennifer Beals wants to make one thing very clear about her guest-starring role on Castle:  Her character isn't looking to rekindle her past relationship with Castle (Nathan Fillion).

Exclusive: Castle boss and Stana Katic dish on Castle's first muse

On Monday's episode (10/9c, ABC) — the first of a two-parter — Beals plays CIA Agent Sophia Turner, who served as the inspiration for the female agent in Castle's series of Derrick Storm novels. And while Sophia's reappearance may push the buttons of Castle's latest muse, Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), Beals insists her character's motives are pure.

"She's not trying to get [Castle] back," Beals tells TVGuide.com.... read more

NCIS Celebrates 200 Episodes with an Emotional "What If?" Story

Mark Harmon and Muse Watson, NCIS

What if?

That's the basic question at the heart of NCIS' 200th episode. The landmark hour (airing Tuesday at 8/7c on CBS) takes Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to his favorite diner for his usual morning cup of coffee. But he gets a whole lot more: Out of the blue, a hooded gunman approaches Gibbs, pulls his weapon and fires.

Cue a string of mind-bending flashbacks that ask the question: What if Gibbs had taken a different path?
"There's almost an It's a Wonderful Life quality to it," executive producer Gary Glasberg says. "Gibbs is given an opportunity in a millisecond to see what the world would have been like if key moments in NCIS history and lore had unfolded differently. We've taken some of those moments and we let people see them unfold differently."

Indeed, Michael Weatherly, who plays Agent Tony DiNozzo, says... read more

5 Reasons to Watch Castle's 1940s Noir "The Blue Butterfly"

Castle

Monday's Castle is taking its characters (and viewers) back in time.

Exclusive: Castle boss and Stana Katic dish on Castle's first muse

As Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) investigate the murder of a treasure hunter who was searching for the elusive "Blue Butterfly" necklace before his death, the pair stumbles onto the victim's guidebook: a diary from a 1940s private investigator named Joe Flynn.  It's not long before Castle brings the old text to life by imagining himself as the P.I. who is trying to save a beautiful young woman named Vera (Beckett, naturally) from the notorious gangster Tom Dempsey (guest star Mark Pellegrino).

Bones Season 7: Can a Baby Break the Moonlighting Curse?

David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel

Ever since the demise of Moonlighting, many television writers have had one great fear: Once their show's two romantic leads sleep together, the show will lose its tension and become lifeless.

But Bones creator Hart Hanson — who faces that challenge as the show's seventh season premieres with Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) six months pregnant with the child of her former will-they-won't-they partner Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) — has found the opposite to be true.

"I feel like it re-energized the series," Hanson tells TVGuide.com... read more

Damages: Can Chris Messina's Sanchez Trust His Superiors?

Chris Messina

There's a good reason Damages' Chris Messina seems jittery most of the time he's on the screen — and it's only partly because his character is a soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Patty goes to therapy? Things get flip-turned upside down on Season 4 of Damages

"I felt a huge responsibility to the soldiers to make it as honest as I could," Messina tells TVGuide.com. "I played a lot with sleep, and I think the most I didn't sleep was three days in a row. And I'm not a caffeine drinker, but I would play with drinking a bunch of Red Bull before the take. So, the sleep deprivation on top of the instant sugar-caffeine rush ended up making me very shaky."

Messina's Chris Sanchez has plenty of reasons to tremble. He's an employee for a Blackwater-esque private military company led by Howard Erickson (guest star John Goodman), and after Sanchez's last mission in Afghanistan went south, his entire unit was killed. Enter Sanchez's old high school friend Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne), who wants to make Sanchez the star witness in her wrongful death lawsuit against Erickson... read more

Bones Season 7 Scoop: Booth and Brennan's Family Matters and a New Villain, Squintern

Bones

When Bones returns for its seventh season on Nov. 3, the show will be moving into uncharted territory. After a six-season dance around and toward one another, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be living as a couple, preparing for the birth of their first child. How will the show change without the will-they-won't-they romantic tension that's driven the story for so long? Although the show's Comic-Con panel was scrapped, TVGuide.com spoke with executive producer Stephen Nathan to seek answers to that very question. Plus: He talks about working around Deschanel's real-life pregnancy, a new long-term villain and seeing more of Booth and Brennan's families.... read more

The Closer's Final Season: Is Brenda Ready to Call It Quits?

The Closer

The beginning of the end is here for The Closer: After six seasons, Emmy winner Kyra Sedgwick is only 21 episodes away from turning in her badge as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson. And series creator and executive producer James Duff says it's going to be an emotional ride.

"The theme of this season is love and loss," Duff tells TVGuide.com. "Loss is part of the promise of love. The only promise that you ever get with love, is that it will end. So we wanted to incorporate how much we loved doing these stories: how much Brenda loved her job, how much she cared about her part in the justice system, and how much it would mean to her to step away from all of that."

Check out Bones and more of last season's best cliff-hangers

"This is someone who is an extremely odd and fearless foe," executive producer Stephan Nathan tells us, comparing the character to such past serial killers as Gormogon and The Gravedigger. "Only he's going to be much more of a 21st-century, tech-savvy foe."
