Watercooler: It's Not So Good to Be the Queen in V's Finale

Morena Baccarin and Christopher Shyer

Oh mama!

The Visitors sure turned it out for their finale last night and if this is the final time we see 'em, at least they made it a bloodbath to remember. Not to spoil it for anyone who DVR'd the episode — which is most likely the series finale — we'll just say the powers-that-be seemed to have doused the hour in those sort of "whoaaa" moments that would have earned the reboot a lot more buzz had they been spread out over the relatively uneventful second season. Multiple deaths, the long-awaited look at the Vs without their skin, the arrival of original-recipe hunk Marc Singer as the leader of another anti-V group, and a botched Fifth Column plan of attack that may have cost mankind everything... read more

As news continued to break of a potential nuclear catastrophe in Japan, the network's ill-fated sci-fi series unveiled an episode that invoked containment domes, fallout zones and a possible meltdown at a nuclear power plant. It seems the aliens use uranium to create portals to bring in more of their own, which was the real reason behind the Chernobyl disaster (there was even a deformed alien survivor of the 1986 calamity in the Ukraine). President Martinez (Blair Underwood) juggled a visit from the Japanese prime minister with the decision to remove uranium rods from a nuclear facility ...

Roush Review: V Finale and More Tuesday Drama (Detroit, Lights Out)

Holt McCallany

"V" is for "vamping" — that's been the case for most of the life of ABC's re-imagined, if hardly re-energized, version of V. You know, the show where alien ships hover over Earth week after week, with nothing much happening as Evil Queen Anna coldly plots the destruction of humanity with all those pesky emotional souls while ...
