Big Brother's Cassi Colvin Gets Sudsy on The Bold and the Beautiful

Cassi Colvin

Big Brother 13 contestant Cassi Colvin — a real-life model and Olivia Wilde lookalike — makes her acting debut on The Bold and the Beautiful October 20 in a role that won't require heavy lifting. She plays a model, conveniently named Cassi, who's working with up-and-coming designer Hope Logan (Kim Matula) on the new "Hope for the Future" fashion line.

Cheers & Jeers: An Off-the-Wall Top Model

LaToya Jackson

Jeers to America's Next Top Model for a Michael Jackson tribute that was hardly a thriller.

With guest judge LaToya Jackson looking on, the models on the lackluster All-Stars season dressed up as Jacko in various stages of his career, and the result was, well, bad. Making matters worse, several of the Caucasian PYT's (who, in some cases, are not-so-Y) wore makeup that veered dangerously close to blackface.

Matt's Guide to Thursday TV: A Classic Community and All that Jazz

Danny Pudi

There's no comedy series quite like Community, and as is often the case with such an uncompromised original, being this defiantly different comes with a price. And sadly, that price tends to be the sort of cellar-dwelling ratings that would get most shows canceled, if on any other network. Thankfully, NBC can ill afford these days to turn away any show that gets this kind of cult and media buzz, although everyone wishes it were doing better or were programmed in a time period (the old 30 Rock slot currently being wasted on Whitney, maybe?) that might increase its exposure.

Dancing With the Stars: Shock, Awe and Injuries

Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani

It wouldn't be Dancing With The Stars without injuries — and in the last 24 hours, there have been two doozies, both involving the professional dancers. On Tuesday night, despite the fact that he had just dislocated his shoulder, Derek Hough powered through the pain to perform a reunion dance with his movie star sister, former pro Julianne Hough

Matt's Guide to Wednesday TV: A Good Knight for Guest Stars

T.R. Knight

Say it ain't so, George. T.R. Knight, once upon a time the beatific BFF of all the Grey's Anatomy gals, is this week's guest rapist on Law & Order: SVU? He can't believe it either, and in this week's episode (NBC, 10/9c), which provides new cast members Kelli Giddish and Danny Pino with their best showcase yet, Knight is thoroughly convincing as a family man who never stops protesting his innocence, though the evidence is damning. Told that DNA doesn't lie, he sputters, "Neither do I!" as he literally sweats out this ordeal. But never forget this is SVU, known for the outlandish twist, so when the DA declares, "You have got to be kidding me!" at a critical juncture, you wonder if she's ever watched this show. Bravo to Knight for his bravura work here. He has been missed.

Watercooler: Sit Down and Shut Up, Last Man Standing

Tim Allen

So apparently Tim Taylor had a secret family. Either that, or nobody thinks we'll realize that Last Man Standing is Home Improvement with daughters instead of sons. And groans, instead of laughs.

Kicking off last night despite the fervent prayers of TV Guide Magazine's Matt Roush, Tim Allen's new comedy tests the meaning of both "new" and "comedy." Using the Improvement template as a cookie cutter, the show casts Allen as a macho dimwit (sound familiar?) with a manly job (right?), a hot sensible wife (of course!) and a house full of... read more

Cher's Ballroom Blitz: A Low-Key Affair

Cher

She's worn plenty of glitter and feathers in her time, but when Cher arrived in the ballroom at Dancing With the Stars on Monday, everything about her highly-promoted appearance was very low key: She wore a simple black dress and muted floral shawl. Her hair was down and unadorned. But everyone was aware of her presence, and she couldn't stay quiet before, during and after her son, Chaz Bono, danced the paso doble to "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky.

The Simpsons Executive Producer Al Jean on How the Show Was Saved

The Simpsons

Mmmmm... contract renewal. Things were looking grim a week ago for The Simpsons, as the possibility loomed that a new deal between the voice actors and 20th Century Fox TV might not happen.
