Nick and Jess will have to face a harsh reality during New Girl's season finale (Tuesday, 9/8c, Fox) when they're forced to spend an entire weekend together on a cruise ship — a super romantic trip they planned before their split.
To soften the blow of having to spend the trip together, Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) invite the whole gang along. But, being the frugal spenders that they are, Nick won't pass up the chance to get their money's worth during the trip, even if that means being forced to do romantic activities like couples yoga and massages with Jess. Unfortunately, those events will actually make them realize being just friends is much harder than they thought. What does that mean for the future of the gang and their living situation? TVGuide.com turned to executive producers Dave Finkel and Brett Baer to get the scoop:

Will Amelia stick around next season on Grey's Anatomy? — Tara
There's no official word on what the cast will look like next year, but it's safe to say Amelia will find it more difficult to leave Seattle this time around. "She's really realizing the value of having her family around," Caterina Scorsone tells me. "She's definitely thinking about the pros and cons of living so far away in Los Angeles." One major pro? Having a new sister! Look for Amelia and Meredith to do some major bonding while Derek is out of town.

Parks and Recreation has become very adept at surprise storytelling. Case in point: Thursday's season finale jumped ahead three years to find Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) working in the National Parks office, which had moved to Pawnee City Hall's vacant and refurbished third floor.

The final minute of the finale disoriented viewers — and not just because Leslie Knope had bangs. Our small-town bureaucrat had turned into a fast-paced boss dealing with some sort of media lockdown, canceling a trip to South Dakota and firing an employee named Ed (Mad Men's Jon Hamm) who was even more inept than Jerry Terry (Jim O'Heir). Leslie also had a group of people waiting for her downstairs in Ben's (Adam Scott) office to discuss something so important that the parents of three were willing to be late to Ben's big night — all mysteries which were set up for the upcoming seventh and likely final season of the NBC comedy.
What does this all mean for the show? TVGuide.com caught up with executive producer Mike Schur to get the scoop:
Jesse Williams, Sarah Drew
