Biggest Loser Episode: Recap Week 8

This week, Biggest Loser took a trip to our nation's capital to help fellow Americans lead happier and healthier lives. The contestants meet Alison in front of the Jefferson Memorial, where she announces that the teams will be disbanded. It's time for singles.

Right away there's a pop challenge. Each person must hand out stickers and encourage people to show up at the Washington Monument for a group workout with Bob and Jillian. Amanda finds that she has a few fans who recognize her from last season's finale. They even chant her name. But unfortunately, the same group of gals also recognize Daniel and take his stickers instead of Amanda's.

Robert Knepper and Masi , Heroes

Heroes kicks off November sweeps Monday with the reunion of one of the show's most memorable, if tragically separated, couples: Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) and Charlie Andrews (Glee's Jayma Mays).

Check out photos of the Heroes cast

The duo's brief love affair began in Season 1, but was brought a drastic halt when Sylar (Zachary Quinto) split Charlie's skull to steal her power. Hiro later traveled back in time to prevent Charlie's murder, and though he was successful, she eventually died from a blood clot in her brain. Now facing his own death by brain tumor, Hiro has set out to cross Charlie's name off his bucket list by saving her once and for all. So, will the third time be the charm?

"I think Hiro's learned a little bit more about what he can and can't do," Oka tells TVGuide.com. "There's definitely something he knows and there's the people he's met as well. Abby Rike's Biggest Loser Experience "Worked Out the Way It Was Supposed To"

Abby Rike

Abby Rike knows tragedy. Three years prior to her Biggest Loser journey, the high school teacher lost her husband, 5-year-old daughter, and 2-week-old son in a car accident. Rike, who has now lost a total of 82 pounds, went to the ranch determined to live life again. She was eliminated midway through the season when she nominated herself as the sacrificial member of the Black team to go home. The 32-year-old fan favorite told TVGuide.com why she feels she made the right choice, how unexpected her media attention has been and which former contestant has become her at-home support system.

TVGuide.com: Why did you volunteer yourself to go home?

I went on the show to get a life back and I felt like I was getting it. It was never about a game for me, it was never about prize money — the prize for me was life. So at that moment, I felt that I was really blessed and it was just what needed to be done. It was the right choice for me.

TVGuide.com: How did you feel about being put on Jillian's team and separated from Allen?
Rike: As soon as Tracey won the golden ticket, I had a sneaking suspicion that...
