Fox announced its fall premiere dates on Thursday, which will stretch from late September until Thanksgiving Eve.
The schedule will kick off with the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 8/7c.
Glee is back for Season 3 on Tuesday, Sept. 20, followed by new series New Girl at 9/8c and the returning comedy Raising Hope at 9:30/8:30c. New Girl stars Zooey Deschanel as a brokenhearted elementary school teacher who moves away from her ex and bunks with three unruly guys.

"The winner of The Glee Project is the person who she hates the most in the history of the show," Murphy tells TVGuide.com exclusively. The Glee Project, airing Sundays at 9/8c on Oxygen, is the reality competition aimed at finding new blood for McKinley. The winner gets a seven-episode arc when Glee returns this fall.

I just watched The Mentalist finale again, and I have no idea what they're going to do next season. Any clues? — Chris
ADAM: It's simple: Jane will claim that he killed Red John in self-defense after he learned that Red John was communicating with his mole, Agent O'Loughlin. (We all saw the gun and the phone call, right?) Not so fast, says series creator Bruno Heller. "Not only is there no cell phone with any calls from an FBI Agent named O'Loughlin, but no gun will be found [by the police]," he says, hinting that someone is still pulling the strings. "Within five minutes of the season-opener, Jane is in jail for homicide with no way out. And he and Lisbon, to some extent, start questioning his sanity." There we go — the insanity defense!
