Maura Tierney is returning to television: The former ER star will reprise her role on Rescue Me, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Maura Tierney joins bicoastal play
Tierney's character, Kelly McPhee — a love interest for Denis Leary's Tommy Gavin in Season 5 — memorably ran into her burning apartment to retrieve an important box. Tommy and Kelly's budding romance also put Tierney's character in the middle of a love quadrangle that included Tommy's ex-wife, Janet (Andrea Roth), and his lover, Sheila (Callie Thorne). But don't look for more catfights this time around.
"When Maura comes back, it's a slightly different situation," said Leary, also the show's co-creator and executive producer. "She doesn't really get involved in the way that she did the last time...
Claire Forlani and Gary Sinise, CSI: NY
CSI: NY's Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) will have some difficult decisions to make when former flame Peyton Driscoll (Claire Forlani) returns to the Big Apple, executive producer Pam Veasey tells TVGuide.com exclusively.
CSI: NY: Madchen Amick to heat up Mac's love life
As we first teased, Peyton's return comes just as Mac gets cozy in his relationship with Dr. Aubrey Hunter (Madchen Amick). So will Mac stick it out with Aubrey or be tempted by his passionate past with Peyton?
"It's actually like he doesn't have to make the choice; it may be that these two women are trying to make the choice for him," Veasey says. "It's a great place for a character to be in: There's an old love who could return or a new relationship and new possibilities. These are two very smart, talented, attractive women that are in his life."
Peyton will return in a Rear Window-esque episode titled "Point of View" when one of her colleagues from Chelsea University becomes a suspect in a case. Veasey says Peyton does become aware of the other woman in Mac's life...
Ginnifer Goodwin is not happy about the "Happy Cow" commercials.
The Big Love star is teaming up with PETA to urge the Federal Trade Commission to put a stop to an ad campaign sponsored by the California Milk Advisory Board, calling it a "misrepresentation of the milk industry."
PETA: Mike Tyson's pigeon-racing show cruel and likely illegal
"The CMAB's "Happy Cows" ads depict cows on California dairy farms enjoying tranquil lives on acres of rolling green fields. But in reality, cows on dairy farms in California are typically crammed into mud- and feces-covered lots without even a single blade of grass in sight," Goodwin says in a letter to the FTC. "These cows are subjected to ...

One of the socialite stars of CW's High Society complained last week that she was the victim of unfair editing after the show's debut episode showed her saying she sometimes uses the N-word, only likes white guys, and tends not to have gay, fat, or Jewish friends.
Now you can decide if the show's producers treated her fairly: TVGuide.com has obtained exclusive interview footage for the show, in which Jules Kirby defends using the N-word ("if a guy can say 'whore,' then you should be able to say the N-word"), says fat people are "gross to me," and explains that when joking around, "I say some pretty terrible things about certain groups of people who aren't like myself."
"I'm not like exactly racist ...

Edwin and Aldis Hodge
Leverage is becoming a family affair.
Edwin Hodge, the older brother of series regular Aldis Hodge, will guest-star in the TNT drama's upcoming third season premiere, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

"I just felt it was a great opportunity to share the screen with my brother and show the difference in our talents," Edwin tells TVGuide.com. "As siblings in the entertainment business, it's always a great experience, and one I think all siblings should share."
Edwin, who starred in Boston Public and most in recently Fox's Mental, has also appeared on Bones, Heroes, and Ghost Whisperer . He'll also appear on the big screen this summer in the remake of Red Dawn.
Although the brothers don't interact directly...
