What's left to be said about Avatar, the highest-grossing box office smash in history?

Judging by this release, not much. Although the Blu-ray treatment makes this an astonishing filmmaking spectacle even without the 3-D glasses, there is zilch in the way of bonus features. (They're no doubt being saved for a bigger release scheduled during the holiday season.) Even so, given all the years it took to make this film, it would have been nice to see at least a couple behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Hey, Upper East Siders, Season 2 of the CW's hit teen drama Gossip Girl is now on DVD shelves, and OMG! is it a great set.

The release includes seven discs of scandalous scenes, breakups and make-ups, and startling revelations. The show's sophomore season took viewers through college visits, acceptances and rejection (Blair's Yale dreams were crushed), a devastating death for Lily and Chuck, some interesting couplings, and one huge twist. (We won't spoil it in case you're playing catch-up.)

Tom and Jerry - The Chuck Jones Collection from Warner Bros Home Entertainment collects all 34 of the Chuck Jones cartoons in a 2-disc set. Known for his work on Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, Jones was hired by MGM to produce new Tom and Jerry cartoons in 1962, where he produced the 34 cartoons contained in this set. Presented in their original theatrical aspect ratios, these cartoons have been re-mastered from the original source material. Also included are two documentaries, "Tom and Jerry... and Chuck" (20:23) and "Chuck Jones: Memories of a Childhood" (26:11). This is the perfect set for fans of Chuck Jones, or Tom and Jerry.

Simon & Simon - Season 2

The Simon brothers are back on DVD after a two-and-a-half year absence. Season 2, the first full season for the show, has the brothers investigating missing dolphins, a stolen Ki', and even teaming up with Thomas Magnum. That's right, the cross-over episode, "Ki' I's Don't Lie" from Magnum P.I. is included on this set, along with all 22 episodes from Simon & Simon season 2, including the double-length episode, "Pirate's Key." The set is released by Shout! Factory, who picked up the distribution rights from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The packaging, transfers and quality of the set as the same as season 1, so fans don't have to worry that the change in distributors will affect the quality of the set on the shelf, or in the player.

Nip/Tuck - Season 5, Part 1

Suffice to say, the first half of Nip/Tuck's fifth season is nothing but unexpected twists and turns. The 14-episode set is filled with plenty of shocking storylines as McNamara and Troy start their new life in Beverly Hills. Guest stars include Rosie O'Donnell, Lauren Hutton, Daphne Zuniga, Oliver Platt, Portia de Rossi and even a teenage villain played by 90210's AnnaLynne McCord.
