Before you download Adam Lambert's new single, "Want," on iTunes, there's something the American Idol runner-up would like you to know.
"Back in 2005, when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else," Lambert said in a statement. "I was broke at the time and this was my chance to make a few bucks, so I jumped at the opportunity to record for my first time in a professional studio. The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on."
"Want" — which leaked on the Internet last week — will be packaged with other old tracks and released as an album this summer titled On with the Show. The 11 tracks were recorded ...

Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick welcomed the birth of twin girls via a surrogate mother.

"The babies are doing beautifully," Parker's publicist says in a statement to TVGuide.com. "The entire family is over the moon."
Marion Loretta weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, while Tabitha was 6 pounds. Hodge and Elwell are ...

Jon and Kate Plus 8
Jon & Kate Plus 8 will go on hiatus until August following the Gosselins' separation announcement on Monday's episode, TLC said in a statement.
"TLC continues to support the Gosselin family and will work closely with them to determine the best way to continue to tell their story as they navigate through this difficult time," the statement read.
The network said Monday's upcoming episode will be a retrospective clip show on Jon and Kate's 10-year marriage. The next new episode will air Aug. 3.

Once The Real Housewives of New Jersey ends, we're betting on NYC Prep (Tuesday, 10 pm/ET on Bravo) to be our next guilty pleasure this summer. On Prep, Bravo gives viewers an inside look into the lives of the privileged teens on the Manhattan prep-school scene — call it a real-life Gossip Girl. How are the two similar? Let's meet Prep's familiar character archetypes and investigate.
PC, The Bad Boy
Who He Is: PC is a popular senior whose sophistication is seen in both his dapper style and in the way he greets friends with a double-cheek kiss. So, he's kind of a d-bag. "There's a huge advantage with having money and being around money in New York City," he says.
Gossip Girl Equivalent: Chuck Bass, the teenaged CEO of Bass Industries, can charm the pants off (literally) any girl. He's a bit of a clotheshorse, and he truly believes that just about anything can be bought in this world.
Kelli, The Follower
Who She Is: Kelli is never alone, except ...
Television legend Ed McMahon, who's booming "Heeeere's Johnny" was a fixture of late-night TV for three decades and who thrived as a Tonight Show sidekick and jolly host of his own shows, has died. He was 86.
McMahon's longtime friend and publicist, Howard Bragman, confirmed the death Tuesday.
Piers Morgan, America's Got Talent
Season 4 of America's Got Talent (premiering Tuesday at 9pm/ET on NBC) has a lot to live up to after the British version's Susan Boyle-enhanced record ratings. But judge Piers Morgan has no doubt the American version will thrive as well — perhaps even with Boyle's help.
Morgan says Boyle, who finished second in the British version of the show, might perform for American viewers as well.
Jon and Kate Gosselin
Hours after filing for divorce, Jon and Kate Gosselin announced the decision on their show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, saying they had decided to "separate" and were trying to do what was best for their children.
Interviewing separately, both parents used the word "separate" — not divorce. But late in the episode, on-screen text said they had filed Monday for the "dissolution" of their marriage.
Kate said she wasn't "fond" of the idea and was most worried about her children. "How they'll be another statistic," she said. "How they'll be the kids looking back and saying, 'My parents split up when I was fill-in-the-blank age.' That's primarily it, but for myself I don't really want to be alone. I don't want to do this alone, but it's required and I've got to do it."
"It's life, it's a roller coaster. Sometimes it goes off the track," Jon added. "I don't hate Kate, but y'know. I just have to do what's best for me and my kids."

Rescue Me, Larenz Tate
"It's not easy dealing with a Gavin!" Rescue Me star Larenz Tate tells TVGuide.com. Truer words were never spoken. Tate's alter ego, Black Shawn, still has a wild relationship with Colleen Gavin (Natalie Distler). And last week he endured a decidedly un-P.C. hose-down from her father, Tommy (Denis Leary). It's just going to get more dramatic this week when Shawn attends a Gavin family dinner at the request of Colleen's sister. Tate offers a preview of what's to come.
