Weeds Finale Post-Mortem: Creator Jenji Kohan Says Show May End After Next Season

Weeds

Smoke 'em if you got 'em, because Weeds may not be around much longer.

In Monday's sixth season finale, Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) sacrificed herself by claiming responsibility for the murder of Pilar. She was last seen surrounded by FBI agents at the airport, while her family was on a plane headed for Europe. Once again, it looks like Nancy's out of options. Or is she? Will we next see her plotting a season-long jail break? Series creator Jenji Kohan says getting stuck in major jams is certainly nothing new for Nancy.

Creator Jenji Kohan on Weeds' finale: "It's the end of a journey"

"We always tend to write ourselves into a corner to a certain extent," she says. "Everyone goes home, rests and comes back fresh and says, 'All right, how are we going to get out of this sh--? What have we done?' There were vague discussions of what's going to happen next year, but there's nothing definitive in the works yet."

Kohan talks to TVGuide.com about Monday's cliff-hanger, why the upcoming seventh season may be the last, and whether Nancy will be wearing an orange jumpsuit when the show returns... read more

Case of the Ex: Glee’s Jessalyn Gilsig on Terri’s Return — and Why It’s Necessary

Glee

Except for one slightly unhinged and all-too-brief run-in with Will and Emma ("Oh, hey, homewrecker!"), Terri Schuester has been strangely sidelined this season on Glee. Over the summer, the series' executive producers not only defended her faux pregnancy-inducing paranoia, but teased her big return.

"The thing about a show like this is you need villains. We love writing for her, and she's moving to all of us," Ryan Murphy said in July. "I think what she needs to do is date someone who will make Will pea green with jealousy. We're trying to figure out who that is."

Before that happens, Jessalyn Gilsig says her polarizing character will finally re-emerge in Tuesday's episode in a rather surprising way. read more

Skating with the Stars

Here's the cold, hard fact about Skating with the Stars' Rebecca Budig: She skated as a kid, but she assures you that gives her no advantage. Why? "We all have to be able to skate somewhat!" she tells TVGuide.com. "I can't even imagine if [I didn't know how to skate and] had to learn from scratch. It'd be even harder." Learning toe loops and salchows isn't the only difficult aspect of the upcoming ABC show for the actress, who's partnered with pairs specialist Fred Palascak — Budig plans to continue working on All My Children during her run on Skating. Amazing Race's Gary and Mallory: We Shouldn't Have Trusted Our Map

Amazing Race

No, it wasn't an exaggeration: Gary, 53, and Mallory Ervin, 24, drove for nine hours before finally getting to Oman's Jebel Shams on The Amazing Race. "It was insane. I don't think they showed it, but I was like, 'Oh my gosh! Nine hours, we could've driven to Disney World from Kentucky!'" the former Miss Kentucky tells TVGuide.com. "I have never driven that long in my life." The elongated detour sealed the father and daughter's elimination, but the duo still managed to keep things close until the end.
