Most living, breathing Americans already know American Idol is undergoing a facelift for its 10th season. Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres are out. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are in. But new judges aren't the only major changes coming. This year will see a campaign against those McSoulful singer-songwriter types, the inclusion of younger contestants, a ban on all "dawgs." (OK, maybe just less of them.)

Sargent Shriver, Peace Corps Founder, Dies at 95

Robert Sargent Shriver, Jr.

Sargent Shriver, the Peace Corps founder and former Democratic vice presidential candidate who headed the 1960s War on Poverty, has died. He was 95.

Shriver, whose full name was Robert Sargent Shriver Jr., died Tuesday, his family said in a statement to CNN. He had suffered from Alzheimer's disease — a cause his daughter, former first lady of California, Maria Shriver, has championed in recent years.

NBC Benches Law & Order: Los Angeles Following Cast Shake-Up

Law & Order: Los Angeles won't be returning to the NBC schedule any time soon.

The series was expected to return Feb. 8, but NBC sent out a release on Tuesday stating that they had pulled the show indefinitely from the schedule. The last episode of Law & Order: Los Angeles aired Dec. 1.  

Parenthood will instead remain in the Tuesday at 10/9c timeslot for the remainder of the season. The family drama was originally scheduled to move to Mondays at 10/9c beginning in March.
