Houses Collide: Game of Thrones Discussion — Things Come To a Shocking Head

Sean Bean

If you watched Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones, you're probably still reeling from shock. If you haven't, go and watch it now ... or certainly before you read our spoiler-filled discussion below. Just know that HBO's defiance of convention is gutsy, inspiring and every bit as cold as the world of Westeros that calls the channel home.

TVGuide.com's Hanh Nguyen is an avid scripted-TV watcher, a horror-avoider and someone who's read George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series, on which HBO's Game of Thrones is based. VIDEO: Conan O'Brien Addresses Dartmouth Graduating Class

Conan O'Brien

Conan O'Brien addressed Dartmouth's 2011 graduating class in typical self-deprecating fashion. For proof, look no further than his opening statement, which refers to President George H.W. Bush, who was there to receive an honorary degree:

"Before I begin, I must point out that behind me sits a highly admired president of the United States and decorated war hero, while I, a cable television talk show host, has been chosen to stand here and impart wisdom. I pray I never witness a more damning example of what is wrong with America today"...
