Pretty Little Liars
In the Pretty Little Liars summer finale, viewers will finally get some answers about who killed Alison.
"Viewers will feel they're getting insight into the night Alison disappeared and who killed Alison," executive producer Marlene King tells TVGuide.com. "The jaw-dropping moments are those revelations."
But this is Pretty Little Liars, and King adds, "The finale answers more questions than any other finale we've ever done -- but it raises a few big questions."
The Help scored the top spot during a weekend that wound up as the movie box office's second-slowest of the year because of Hurricane Irene.
The drama starring Emma Stone managed to bring in $14.3 million, down from last weekend's $20.5 million, according to Box Office Mojo, which noted that only Super Bowl weekend was slower overall. The film's three-week gross totals $96.6 million.
Lindsay Sloane and her husband Dar Rollins are expecting their first child, US Magazine reports.
"We're so excited," the actress told the magazine. "I'm five-and-a-half months along and we just found out we're having a girl."
Hurricane Irene starred as the biggest thing on television through the weekend, as the broadcast networks, cable news channels, local stations along the Eastern Seaboard and, of course, The Weather Channel devoted hours upon hours to covering the storm.
One Tree Hill
Production on One Tree Hill, which shoots in Wilmington, N.C., an expected target of Hurricane Irene, was shut down Friday in advance of the storm, Entertainment Weekly reports.
"As a precautionary measure and in consideration of our cast and crew, One Tree Hill production has shut down for today and tomorrow due to Hurricane Irene. We will continue to monitor the situation over the next few days," a rep for the show told EW...
