If you thought Dr. Cuddy's (Lisa Edelstein) sole purpose was to put out House's fires, Monday night's Cuddy-centric episode of House will give viewers a glimpse at the myriad issues the dean of medicine faces on any given day.
"Sometimes you see complaints that people don't think that Cuddy's very good at her job. But I don't really think they know what her job is," says Edelstein. "Now you get a really clearer view of that."

Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion, Castle
If Nathan Fillion is Castle's king, Stana Katic is the queen. And in recent weeks, the hit procedural comedy has turned its focus on Katic's character and her back story — mainly, her mother's murder.

Katic, who plays Detective Kate Beckett, tells TVGuide.com that she enjoyed getting some resolution — she now knows the killer, but not who hired him —and promises there is more to come.
"It was really a smart way to drop more information but not fully resolving it," Katic says. "I think it is going to be a driving force as we continue to move on. They'll definitely be dealing with it — probably not in the next couple of episodes. But I'm sure before the season's end, we'll get another big bombshell regarding that story line."
More important, Katic says, was the introduction of Beckett's family life...
Hayden Panettiere and Jack Coleman, Heroes

Heroes: Will Lydia's death spell disaster for Samuel?
Robert Knepper, who plays this season's power-hungry, carnival-leading baddie, Samuel, promises more of the same in Monday's Season 4 send-off. But for Samuel, it's no more Mr. Nice Guy.
"Samuel never went up to Hiro [Masi Oka] and Peter [Milo Ventimiglia] and said, 'You're going to work for me.' He made them realize something about themselves that they needed to realize and hopefully they would thank Samuel," Knepper tells TVGuide.com. "There was this manipulative approach that didn't work out how he wanted it to work out. In the end, he's going to say ' ... I'm going to get you back. I'm going to show you my true colors — you're now working for me.' And if they don't, there's going to be a price to pay."
Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere) and her father (Jack Coleman) have already gotten a taste of what Samuel's willing to do ...

In between all the action, there was a surprising appearance by Jay Leno and David Letterman in a Late Show promo in which the two...
