"Were you surprised?" asks host Tom Bergeron moments after the show. "I was really surprised. I thought he'd go at least three or four weeks." The "he" in question is David Hasselhoff, the first star bounced from the new season of Dancing With the Stars.

Once again, the television gods rained down upon us a night of too many choices as the fall season continued to unfurl. And just like Monday, our DVRs runneth over!
Of course, the biggies were the returns of a rather ungleeful Glee (boo to the unexpectedly short reign of Charice as New Directions' star-to-be!), NCIS and son, The Biggest Loser, and — because it won't go away —the first Dancing With the Stars elimination. (So long, Hoff!)
