Turns out you can go home again—you just might not be welcome there. In the new scripted comedy Big Lake (premiering tonight at 10/9c on Comedy Central), Chris Gethard stars as Josh Franklin, a failed financial whiz kid who flees the big city for his Pennsylvania hometown. But Josh's folks aren't exactly thrilled to see him—especially since he lost their nest egg on failed investments.
"His parents outwardly hate him at this point—they take their aggression out on him, and deservedly so," says Gethard, an accomplished improv comic who landed the role after impressing exec producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay on the set of Ferrell's new comedy The Other Guys...
Make It Or Break It, Cassie Scerbo
For Make It or Break It's Cassie Scerbo, playing the mean girl is fun, but she's glad viewers will get to see a more vulnerable side to her character Lauren by the end of the season. "A lot of people look at her like she's so crazy, but she's crying out for love," the 20-year-old tells TVGuide.com. "By the end of the season people are going to understand Lauren a lot more." As Season 2 wraps up, teen gymnasts Lauren, Kaylie (Josie Loren), Payson (Ayla Kell) and Emily (Chelsea Hobbs) are getting closer to making their Olympic dreams come true, but there's no shortage of boy drama, serious health issues, and acts of betrayal at their training center, The Rock.
