Fox Shelves Lone Star After Two Episodes

Fox has shelved Lone Star after just two episodes.

The network announced that Lie to Me -- which originally was scheduled to premiere in November — will take Lone Star's timeslot, beginning Monday.

Not everything is bigger in Texas: Ratings-challenged Fox drama Lone Star continued to struggle Monday night, perhaps sealing the show's fate.

The freshman con-man drama dropped to only 3.8 million viewers and averaged the same rating among the adults 18-to-49 demographic as it did last week, according to Nielsen overnight estimates. However, the show's demo rating dropped 44 percent in the second half hour, falling to last place behind Gossip Girl. It's an O.C. reunion for creator Josh Schwartz and actress Rachel Bilson: The two are teaming up for a new project at NBC, Deadline , a rep for the network confirms.

Ghost Angeles will star Bilson as a young woman in L.A. who talks to the dead and helps out ghosts as they help her. Schwartz will co-write it with Ugly Betty producer Henry Alonso Myers.
