Rep: Charlie Sheen Hospitalized for "Allergic Reaction" to Medication

Charlie Sheen was hospitalized after he suffered an "adverse allergic reaction" to medication early Tuesday in New York City, his rep told TVGuide.com.

"What we are able to determine is that Charlie Sheen had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital," Stan Rosenfield said in a statement. Sheen is expected to be released Wednesday, he said.

A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that the 45-year-old Two and a Half Men checked himself into a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation after a woman told police he threw furniture in his hotel room.
