Charles Gibson announced Wednesday that he will stop anchoring ABC's World News Tonight at the end of the year.
Gibson, 66, who has been ABC's anchor since 2006, will retire from full-time employment altogether, according to ABC News. "It has not been an easy decision to make," Gibson said in an e-mail to the World News staff Wednesday morning. "This has been my professional home for almost 35 years. Authorities investigating the death of DJ AM have discovered nine OxyContin pills in his body, a police source told People.
Eight of the pills were undigested in the celebrity DJ's body, and another was in his mouth, according to the source. The finding leads authorities to believe DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, swallowed the pills quickly, which supports theories that he was trying to commit suicide.

The door to Goldstein's bedroom was blocked by a mirror, which shattered when police entered the room, the source said. Police also discovered a crack pipe and crack was found under the body when it was moved, according to the source.
