Even when the cast of The Middle is away from the set, they can't stop acting like a family. Patricia Heaton (Frankie Heck) gabs with her TV daughter, Eden Sher (Sue), about shopping. Neil Flynn (Mike) bonds with TV sons Charlie McDermott (Axl) and Atticus Shaffer (Brick) over who's the best shot during their on-set basketball games. We sat the close-knit crew down to swap stories about everything from the first time they met to their favorite Mexican veggie.
Shedding for the Wedding
As host of the new weight-loss competition Shedding for the Wedding, bride-to-be Sara Rue (she's engaged to teacher Kevin Price) has more than just fabulous prizes to offer the overweight engaged couples. She recently lost 50 pounds as a Jenny Craig spokesperson, so she's living proof that the contestants can slim down, too.
TV Guide Magazine: Were you looking to do a reality show?
Rue: Doing my weight loss so publicly has been an incredibly empowering experience. To be part of the journey with these people was too good to turn down.
Starring in a $100 million film alongside Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon and earning an Oscar nomination is a major accomplishment for anyone. For a 14-year-old, it's astonishing. But True Grit star and Best Supporting Actress nominee Hailee Steinfeld says fame hasn't...
We've made it, friends: After weeks of sob-story auditions and dramatic Hollywood-Week meltdowns, American Idol finally made it to the big stage. And that big stage swallowed up some of the competitors. While I agree with executive producer Nigel Lythgoe that past seasons' Top 24 middle rounds have gone on too long, tonight proved that not every singer who is deemed a semifinalist deserves to get the full production number. (Also, why was the band so much louder than the singers during most of the performances? Maybe to drown out some of the awfulness?)
Our new judges also faced their first real test. Sure, Steven Tyler was charming when he was edited together, but how would that translate to live TV? As it turns out, he's still kind of charming when he's dropping F-bombs and Jennifer Lopez is still pretty beautiful — but neither of them really impressed me with their level of critical analysis, positive or negative. And Randy... Well, you can't teach an old dawg new tricks.
Let's break down the singing...
In his heavily promoted 20/20 interview, Charlie Sheen said he has "a billion fans" and discussed his affinity for porn stars.
"You already know what you're getting before you meet them," he told ABC News's Andrea Canning when asked why he likes porn stars. Sheen also said he likes paying for prostitutes because "who wants to deal with all the small talk and the nonsense?"

The Good Wife
Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from Tuesday's episode of The Good Wife.
After months of brutal debates, nasty campaign flyers and tireless campaigning, The Good Wife 's race for state's attorney may finally have a frontrunner in Peter Florrick (Chris Noth).
The three-way race suddenly became a two-person fight in Tuesday's episode after Glenn Childs (Titus Welliver) stepped down. With the current officeholder, and Peter's biggest rival, out of the running, does this mean Florrick is a lock to win?

According to the series and its fictional political blog, Peter has been on the uptick with voters — especially young people — since he cursed during a political debate to protect Alicia's privacy (awww). Plus, last week's nannygate seems to have dented the once sterling armor of opponent Wendy Scott-Carr (Anika Noni Rose).
But what would Peter's win mean for the show? Alicia (Julianna Margulies) said she wants her husband to win -- she just doesn't "want to go back to the way things were." Translation: She wants to continue working, which would...
Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Blue Bloods
Every week, editors Adam Bryant and Natalie Abrams satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to email@example.com.
So, will Kurt be back with New Directions on Glee any time soon? — Lizzie
ADAM: Sorry to break it to you, Lizzie, but Kurt will still be singing with the Warblers at least through Regionals. That means he won't be singing Glee's original song, the geek anthem "Loser Like Me," either. But don't worry, Kurt and the Warblers have their own underdog ode. Hint: It's by Pink!
I can't believe we won't get a new episode of Grey's Anatomy until March 24. Can you give us some scoop to tide us over? —Rachel
NATALIE: In the next new episode, Arizona is going to see a new side of Callie. "Callie has this obsession with baby showers, and she has this massive need for attention and girliness," Jessica Capshaw tells us. "Arizona keeps guessing wrong on what Callie would want and Mark keeps guessing correctly. Arizona just gets sick of it, so Callie gives...
