Fox has embraced the New Girl on their Tuesday block. The network has ordered 11 additional episodes of the hit comedy — making New Girl the first freshman series to receive a full season pick-up.

Dane Cook Nabs Development Deal at NBC

Dane Cook has signed a development deal with NBC, Deadline reports.

Under the new deal, the 39-year-old comedian-actor, whose films include Good Luck Chuck, will star in a half-hour program slated for next fall. He'll also be a producer on the show.

Parents Television Council Wants More Advertisers to Drop Playboy Club

The Parents Television Council says seven companies have pulled their advertising from NBC's The Playboy Club, and wants more to follow suit.

"The Playboy Club is a commercial disaster and must be removed from the airwaves. We call for the network to cancel this degrading and sexualizing program immediately," PTC President Tim Winter said.
