Dancing with the Stars has been an ABC staple since 2005, but after 16 seasons ABC felt it was time for a change. The network announced Tuesday that the dance competition will be reduced to a two-hour episode one night a week in the fall. This isn't proof of a loss of faith in the series, but an attempt to instill fresh energy, ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee explained during a conference call with reporters.

Forget the Fierce Five. Aly Raisman has made the final five of Dancing with the Stars and is one step closer to the Mirrorball trophy. "It feels awesome. I can't believe how fast the competition has been," she tells TVGuide.com. "Week 1 feels like it was forever ago, but at the same time, the finals are only a week away." The Olympic champ will have two chances to make her case for the finals on Monday with a rumba and a Twitter-voted Afro-jazz.
