Dancing With The Stars

Dancing with the Stars
8/7c ABC
It's time once again for the celebrities to help design the costumes! From what we saw last week, Kelly may be putting Louis in a loud floral print, and Michael's designs may have Anna cursing him in Russian. However, let's hope Michael didn't spend too much time working on wardrobe at the expense of practicing, because he only narrowly escaped elimination last week by winning a dance-off against Louie Vito. Two stars exited in a double elimination last week, and tomorrow night two more will go.

Desperate Housewives

Desperate Housewives
9/8c ABC
The way things are going, the Susan-Katherine catfight (er, gunfight) might come to rival the Hundred Years War — and don't look for a letup tonight. Don't expect last week's encounter with that tut-tutting motel maid to send Bree back to Orson, either, no matter how much of an affection-begging puppy he has been lately. But do expect to learn a little something more about the mysterious Bolens. And if you thought that Gaby was a bad mom last week, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Food Network Challenge

Food Network Challenge
9/8c Food Network
A Christmas favorite receives a Halloween makeover in this episode from 2007, as four renowned pastry chefs build haunted gingerbread creations, ranging from spooky houses to a slime-filled cave and even a Spanish galleon manned by skeleton soldiers. Let's just hope that these edible works of art taste a lot sweeter than they look.

Ghost Whisperer

Ghost Whisperer
8/7c CBS
The argument could be made that every episode of the series is a Halloween episode, but some episodes are more so than others. This episode is classically frightful as it borrows heavily from a horror classic — Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The book's famous Headless Horseman comes to life to haunt Melinda, and it's safe to say he's not going to want to cross over into the light. Adding more drama to the story is Melinda's fear when the book shows up at Aiden's school.

The Office

The Office
9/8c NBC
A strong Season 6 has been teeming with tricks and treats — Jim and Pam's memorable Niagara Falls wedding and Michael's controversial new love among them. There's more scare fare in tonight's Halloween-themed affair when the branch organizes a haunted house for community children. Meanwhile, Michael is spooked when he plunges (literally) into a big business meeting by falling into a koi pond. And Pam and Andy team up, utilizing cold-calling methods to pull in more business.

Modern Family

Modern Family
9/8c ABC
Remember the first day of school? It was an opportunity to make new friends, start fresh and look forward to another year of learning. But since it's the Pritchetts we're talking about, you can throw all that schmaltzy stuff out the window. Instead, Phil and Claire get off on the wrong foot once the kids are out of the house, and Jay and Gloria disagree on Manny's choice of attire. And speaking of firsts, Mitchell and Cameron are beside themselves when Lily gets her first bump on the head.

Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars
9/8c ABC
This results show is all about doubles: two music acts and two eliminations. Taylor Swift is in the house to sing her new single, "Jump Then Fall," as well as "Love Story." Also taking the stage are Cuban stars Tiempo Libre, performing "Tu Conga Bach." As for the eliminations, first to go are the couple with the lowest combined score. Then, the second- and third-lowest-scoring couples compete in a dance-off for the judges, with the judges' scores determining which couple must leave.

Trauma

Trauma
9/8c NBC
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. That adage holds true in this Halloween episode when a party gets out of control and the paramedics are called in. While Tyler and Boone work through the carnage, Nancy and Glenn are spooked by an unusual call. It's never a dull day on the job for these folks.

The Trinity Killer (played with chilling dastardliness by John Lithgow) is still at large, which is really getting under Dexter's skin. On the home front, previously clueless Rita becomes privy to one of Dexter's secrets, and she wonders exactly how much more there is to her enigmatic husband and his mysterious ways.

Ryan and Jimmy decide to make a scary movie, and the offices of Mad Style after hours seem like the perfect eerie setting. Only, maybe they're a little too eerie: The ghost of a former receptionist who died more than 50 years ago now roams the company's halls at night. Meanwhile, during the daylight hours, True and Amanda are bickering as usual, this time fighting over which model to cast for a photo shoot. — Jennifer Sankowski
