How I Met Your Mother's Smulders is out to prove she's more than a pretty face who can get a laugh. In The Avengers, she plays S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill. While she doesn't have super powers, she more than holds her own with all the other men and women in tights. And if you're Samuel L. Jackson's right-hand gal, you know she's a badass.

One of our favorite True Blood vampires, Skarsgard is used to having a lot of twisted, blood-sucking fun on-screen. In Battleship, he plays a stone-faced Navy officer named, well, Stone. Fed up with the misdeeds of his slacker younger brother (Friday Night Lights Taylor Kitsch), Stone forces his brother to join the Navy as well. Just in time for a huge alien attack. Great advice, bro.

If you've ever wanted to see a whole lot more of White Collar's Neal Caffrey, here's your chance. Bomer co-stars in Steven Soderbergh's latest film as Ken, one of several strippers who works at Xquisite nightclub. (The film was inspired by the real-life exotic dancing exploits of Bomer's co-star Channing Tatum.) Like all good strippers do, Bomer's character has dreams of breaking out of the business and becoming a real actor. We're pretty sure he's got the body for it. (Joe Mangianello also stars, but we see him naked on True Blood all the time!)

American Idol's most fashionable judge (sorry, Randy!) co-stars in this ensemble romantic comedy about the joys and struggles of becoming a parent. (As a mother to twins, we're sure J. Lo can relate.) Lopez plays Holly, who is forced to adopt after having trouble conceiving. Don't feel bad for her, though: Jenny from the Block always ends up on top.

Missing your weekly dose of comedy from Parks and Recreation and New Girl? This film, starring Parks' Plaza and New Girl's Johnson, should fill that void. The comedy, based on an Internet meme, follows magazine employees Darius (Plaza) and Jeff (Johnson) as they investigate a strange classified ad placed in their publication: "Wanted: Somebody to go back in time with me. ... Safety not guaranteed."

After leveraging her dancing skills into a role in the Footloose remake, Hough is hitting the big screen again in this adaptation of the hit Broadway musical. The Dancing with the Stars vet plays Sherrie Christian, a waitress at the Bourbon Room who dreams of being an actress. When she falls for the busboy (Diego Boneta) who supports her ambitions (he himself wants to be a rock god), the two fall in love. All with Tom Cruise singing in the background!

Saturday Night Live's Samberg stars as Todd Peterson, the estranged son Donny (Adam Sandler) had as a teenager. Thirty years after last seeing one another, Donny turns up on Todd's doorstep asking for the $43,000 he owes the IRS. Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester plays Todd's bride-to-be whose wedding is put in jeopardy when Donny shows up on the eve of the ceremony.

Gossip Girl this is not. Lively plays O, a hippie who lives (and according to the trailer, sleeps) with two guys (Friday Night Lights' Taylor Kitsch and Kick Ass' Aaron Johnson) who grow and sell marijuana. When the duo gets mixed up with a Mexican drug cartel, Lively's character is kidnapped and held for ransom. OMG!

Parenthood's Dax Shepard teams with his real-life fiancée , House of Lies' Kristen Bell, in this romantic action comedy about a former getaway car driver (Shepard) who risks blowing his witness protection identity to get his girlfriend (Bell) to Los Angeles. High jinks ensue as a U.S. Marshal and his old gang give chase. Shepard also co-directed the film.

Something tells us that running a hotel on Magic City or catching crooks on The Closer is quite a stretch from Morgan's and Sedgwick's roles in this horror flick. The two play a married couple whose youngest daughter becomes obsessed with an antique wooden box she bought at a yard sale. After the little girl begins acting strangely, they realize the box contained an evil spirit that has taken over (and plans to destroy) their daughter's body.

On HBO's Boardwalk Empire, Macdonald's Margaret fights to have her voice heard by the men she's surrounded by in 1920s Atlantic City. The same is true for Merida, the bold, do-things-my-way character Macdonald voices in Pixar's Brave. The film tells the story of young Scottish princess who, after breaking the traditions of her King and Queen parents, turns to a witch for help. After a curse is placed over the whole kingdom, Merida and her trusty bow and arrow must come to the rescue.

Even though Cranston's Walter White is the "hero" of Breaking Bad, his journey has proven that he's quite capable of being the villain. That will come in handy in this summer's remake of Total Recall, in which Cranston plays the ruthless Euroamerican President Vilos Cohaage, who secretly is plotting to take over the rival state of New Shanghai. Sounds awfully sinister for the dad from Malcolm in the Middle!

Season 6 American Idol winner Jordin Sparks makes her big-screen debut in a role that shouldn't feel all that foreign. She plays Sparkle, a teen singer who forms a group with her sisters. But as they strive to become Motown legends, personal struggles threaten to pull the family apart. The film was executive-produced by and stars Whitney Houston.

The former Rescue Me star is trading his firefighting gear for police blues. Leary plays NYPD Capt. George Stacy, the man leading the manhunt for the vigilante known as Spider-Man. He also isn't too fond of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), the boyfriend of his daughter Gwen (Emma Stone). We'd really like to be there when he finds out they're the same guy!
