Is it surprising at all that the self-proclaimed Queen Bee gave her daughter a regal name?

Would you expect a normal name from someone named Busy? (The actress' real name is Elizabeth.) The Cougar Town star and her screenwriter husband named their daughter after Lady Bird Johnson after hearing a radio show discussing the former first lady. "My husband said, 'Wow, what a cool woman.'" They kept the bird theme with their second little girl. In response to the criticism of the names, Philipps tweeted, "It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names. Guys, my kids will be [in] therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure."

So The Sun was right. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their new daughter North West. (Though it should really be spelled it Knorth, right?) While the reason and pun are obvious here, that's not the case for many other wacky celebrity baby names. Get the details on how and why these stars gave/burdened their offspring with such kooky monikers.

Pilot Inspektor is not even a job, let alone a name (spelled with a K, no less), but the My Name Is Earl and Leverage stars gave their son this moniker after the Granddaddy song "He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot." Inspektor came from Christopher Masterson, the younger brother of Lee's friend Danny Masterson.

The A Knight's Tale star and her children's book author-beau didn't turn to a baby name book to name their firstborn son. "We wanted a word not a name, so my boyfriend read through the dictionary three of four times,” Sossamon explained. “We were going to call him Science, but thought it might get shortened to Sci, as in Simon."

The Hawaii Five-0 star just wants to make life more difficult for his kids, even when life is difficult already. "My first son’s name is Saxon, I kind of like to give my children names where they can’t just go on welfare comfortably, you know?” he said. "The welfare people will be like, Lion O’Loughlin? You gotta run a country or something. At least run a television network station."

The couple got biblical for both their kids' names (son Moses is named after the Coldplay song "Moses" that Martin wrote for Paltrow). Lucky No. 7? The singer gave her son the numeral moniker because "[it’s] a number and a force that cannot be divided." OK, then. Badu also has two daughters named Puma and Mars, but has yet to explain those meanings.

Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence (Uma Thurman and Aprad Busson) Good luck filling out paperwork! Thurman and her financier fiancé couldn't agree on a name, so the actress' older daughter, Maya, came to the rescue. "[Maya] came up with the best excuse, [which] was that I probably wouldn't get to have any more children, so I just put every name I liked into [this one]," Thurman told Jimmy Fallon. They call her Luna for short.

The singer originally planned to spell her first son's name as Denham with a silent H. "But when we were in the hospital … the nurse said, 'How’s little baby Den-ham?' So we started spelling it like the jean," Braxton explained. As for her second son, his name just so happened to be a brand of jeans. "So she can go by Charlie [or] Chuck B," he said. "I’m hoping she goes for Chuck B." As for his son, Sisto said that he "felt like a B [name]" and got his middle name from Robert Kennedy Jr. the boyfriend of his co-star Cheryl Hines. "[His daughter is called] Kick and that was actually where I came up with it," he said. "It was inspiration."

Racer, Rocket, Rebel and Rogue (Robert Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellan) And you thought the Kardashians went krazy with Ks. The director found his four sons' monikers not in a baby name book, not in the dictionary, but a dog name book. His daughter Rhiannon escaped that trend — she's named after the Fleetwood Mac song.
