Premieres: Thursday, Jan. 19 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: After the murder of his fiancée, Archer ran away and became the Pirate King on a tropical island. Once he learned beach living isn't all it's cracked up to be, Archer called on Malory to negotiate his release from the island fortress. What's Next: Burt Reynolds guest-stars as himself, and he just so happens to be Archer's hero/man-crush. But that may all change when Burt begins dating Malory. Also, Cyril is promoted to field agent and ISIS institutes a strict drug-testing policy that doesn't sit well with the staff.

Being Human (Syfy)

Premieres: Monday, Jan. 16 at 9/8c Where We Left Off: Sally was finally able to move on after getting revenge on her former fiancé and killer Danny. Meanwhile, Nora discovered that Josh is actually a werewolf, and though she decides to stay with him, she was accidentally scratched by him. After killing the Bishop, Aiden's been named the leader of the Boston vampires. What's Next: Sally's newfound ability to interact with physical objects will lead her to experimentation that crosses some lines. Josh become more comfortable in his own skin (or is that pelt?) but Aiden will run into trouble when a centuries-old vampire (played by Dollhouse's Dichen Lachman) returns to Boston.

Californication (Showtime)

Premieres: Sunday, Jan. 8 at 10:30/9:30c Where We Left Off: Hank avoided jail time in his statutory rape case and literally drove off into the sunset. Charlie and Marcy finalized their divorce, although Marcy announced that she was pregnant with Charlie's baby. What's Next: After spending a few years in New York, Hank returns to L.A. to write a screenplay for hip-hop mogul Samurai Apocalypse (guest star RZA) and realizes how much things have changed. Karen is married to her former professor (Kevin Beghe) and Becca has a new boyfriend (Scott Michael Foster) who's a little too much like Hank. But Hank's biggest problem may be his feelings for Samurai's protégé, Kali (Meagan Good), which threaten his relationship with his employer. Meanwhile, Charlie and Marcy are raising their toddler son together, even though Marcy is now married to Stu (Stephen Tobolowsky).

Downton Abbey (PBS)

Premieres: Sunday, Jan. 8 at 9/8c Where We Left Off: After watching Mary waver for too long, Matthew decided he no longer wanted her and left Downton. Ms. O'Brien mistakenly thought Cora was going to get rid of her and caused an unfortunate miscarriage. Bates confessed that he does love Anna. Meanwhile, Thomas joined the army, Gwen left to be a secretary, the manor got its first phone, and Lord Grantham received a telegram announcing that Britain was at war with Germany. What's Next: It's 1916, and a few new faces will arrive to Downton: Ethel, a new housemaid, and ... Bates' wife! With Matthew and Thomas fighting in France, Downton organizes a benefit concert to help finance the local hospital — and Lady Mary receives shocking news. Has Matthew found another?

Eastbound and Down (HBO)

Premieres: Sunday, Feb. 19 at 10/9c Where We Left Off:After a long stint in Mexico, Stevie and Maria got married and Kenny returned to North Carolina, ready to declare his love for April and do more stupid s---. "It feels good to be breaking laws in America again!" What's Next: Kenny's going to be a father, and he's going to have another shot at the majors in Myrtle Beach. Sounds pretty tame, until you remember this is Kenny F---ing Powers. (And, also, April still hates him.)

The Game (BET)

Premieres: Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: Derwin asked Jason for help recruiting Quan Kirkland to replace Malik as the Sabers' starting quarterback. Unfortunately for Jason, he later learned that Kirkland is dating his ex Camille (Stacey Dash). But the biggest twist of all: Melanie once had an abortion — and it might have been Derwin's baby. What's Next: Melanie will come clean about her abortion, while Malik and Tasha must deal with his ex, Jenna, who's fallen off the wagon. After running into Camille (and with Kelly off trying to "find herself") Jason finds a shoulder to lean on in Brandy. Yup, the erstwhile Moesha joins the cast as Jason's new gal pal, a bartender named — wait for it — Chardonnay.

Jersey Shore (MTV)

Premieres: Thursday, Jan. 5 at 10/9c Where We Left Off:The house turned on the increasingly obnoxious Mike, and he threatened to leave — but since The Situation may actually be broke, he didn't go through with it. Meanwhile, on-again, off-again couple Ronnie and Sammi were "on" by season's end. What's Next: The gang is back in Seaside Heights: Pauly tanned his face off. Ronnie and Sammi broke up between seasons. Deena considers giving up the drink. Vinny will move out. (Of course, only a few of these things will stick.)

Justified (FX)

Premieres: Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10/9c Where We Left Off:Raylan prevented Loretta from killing Mags (Margo Martindale), but the Bennett matriarch, having lost two of her sons, ended her family's feud with Raylan by taking a fatal swig of her own poisoned moonshine. Boyd returned to a life of crime, and Winona revealed to Raylan that she is pregnant. What's Next: With the Bennetts out of the way, Boyd's attempt to rule Harlan's underworld will put him squarely back in Raylan's sights. But Raylan and Boyd will also contend with a mysterious man named Limehouse (Mykelti Williamson) and a Detroit mobster (Neal McDonough), both of whom also want to rule the holler. Safe to say, it's dangerous. "We're going to start taking people out this year," star Timothy Olyphant says. "We get right to some bullets flying."

The Lying Game (ABC Family)

Premieres: Monday, Jan. 2 at 9/8c Where We Left Off: Sutton finally returned, but after a fiery argument with Ethan and Emma, Sutton's car went careening into a lake (with a hoodie-wearing figure in the back seat). What's Next: The car is found, but there's no sign of Sutton. Ethan and Emma's relationship grows stronger as the two try to figure out the big secret their parents have been hiding about Sutton/Emma's mother. Charisma Carpenter joins the cast as Char's estranged aunt, whose return to town after many years may offer some clues. Why else would Alec and Ted like to keep their memories of her in the past?

Merlin (Syfy)

Premieres: Friday, Jan. 6 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: Queen Morgana was defeated after Merlin spilled her cup of life, which effectively eradicated her immortal army. Arthur found Camelot and its Round Table, Uther was freed from the dungeon, and Merlin placed a powerful sword in a stone. What's Next: Surprise! Morgana returns stronger than ever and kills one of her own to open a rift to the spirit world. The Dorocha — hellish creatures that spill through — quickly wreak havoc and leave corpses in their wake, and only another major sacrifice from the good guys can close the rift. Also this season, we'll discover that someone close to Arthur is a traitor, Merlin falls into Morgana's hands, and Arthur learns what it's like to be king.

One Tree Hill (The CW)

Premieres: Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8/7c Where We Left Off: Brooke and Julian welcomed twins and Nathan and Haley had a baby girl. Plus, Chase returned home from the army, Karen's Cafe reopened for business and Quinn and Clay were still happily in love. What's Next: The series ninth and final season will feature the return of many beloved cast members, including Chad Michael Murray, who visits to help Haley deal with a rough patch in her marriage to Nathan. Brooke, meanwhile, has to balance being a new mom with a surprise visit from her absentee father (guest star Richard Burgi).

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family)

Premieres: Monday, Jan. 2 at 8/7c Where We Left Off: Aria, Hanna, Spencer and Emily were back in custody at the Rosewood Police Department after "A" sent them on a hunt that ultimately led to the weapon that murdered Alison. What's Next: The show picks up a month later with the girls at extreme odds. (Maybe it's all the community service they have to do?) Aria and Ezra come clean about their relationship, Spencer tries to keep Toby away, Hanna's stepsister moves to Rosewood and Emily strives to prove she's not the weakest link. Oh, and "A" will finally be revealed!

Royal Pains (USA)

Premieres: Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: The brothers Lawson had put their differences behind them and helped Paige's mom deal with her depression. However, Divya had yet to break the news to Hank about her second job at Hamptons Heritage and Jill and Boris struggled to figure out who tried to kill Boris. What's Next: Boris' would-be assailant will be revealed, and Boris' life will be further complicated by the arrival of an estranged cousin hoping to make amends (and an interesting business proposition to Hank and Evan). Divya's love life will remain complicated, especially when she runs into ex-fiance Raj while on a date with her boss at Hamptons Heritage. Also look for a new doctor, Nina Greene (guest star Johanna Garcia), to cause some ripples in Hank and Jill's relationship.

Shameless (Showtime)

Premieres: Sunday, Jan. 8 at 10: Where We Left Off: Steve asked Fiona to run away with him, but she declined his invitation. Ian finally came out of the closet. Eddie (Joel Murray) killed himself after he learned that Frank slept with Eddie's daughter. What's Next: Following an icy cold winter, the Gallaghers will face an increasingly hot, though bountiful, summer. Fiona starts making some serious cash as a waitress/bartender, the Gallagher home becomes a daycare center and one of the boys begins running a marijuana shop. Meanwhile, Frank's relationship with Sheila will deteriorate as she begins to conquer her agoraphobia. Fiona's moved on from Steve with a new beau (guest star James Wolk) but that won't stop Jasmine (Amy Smart) from trying to find Fiona a sugar daddy.

Southland (TNT)

Premieres: Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: Reeling from the loss of partner Nate, Sammy asked to be transferred out of the gangs unit and back to patrol. On his last day of probationary training, Ben threatens to reveal Cooper's painkiller addiction if he doesn't seek treatment and have the back operation he needs. What's Next: Six months later, Cooper is sober and fit to resume patrol with his new partner, Jessica Tang (guest star Lucy Liu). Although they seem like an odd pairing, there's a specific reason Jessica requested Cooper. Meanwhile, Ben and Sammy remain partnered on patrol, and each will wrestle with what it means to be a hero in his own way. Also, Lydia's got yet another new partner (Dorian Missick), whose happy marriage contrasts Lydia's own troublesome personal life.

Spartacus: Vengeance (Starz)

Premieres: Friday, Jan. 27 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: How could you forget that bloodbath? Spartacus and the other gladiator-slaves rebelled and won their freedom by slaughtering or seriously wounding the snooty House of Batiatus and their dissipated friends. What's Next: Spartacus (Liam McIntyre replaces the late Andy Whitfield) learns to become a leader to the former slaves, who travel the country trying to liberate more slaves from the Romans. They'll face a number of problems, including internal power plays, limited resources and Lucretia, who's also out for blood after being left widowed. Freed man Gannicus returns more sophisticated after traveling the world, but somehow he'll find himself in the ring again. And Illythia develops an intriguing new twist in her relationship with Lucretia.

Switched at Birth (ABC Family)

Premieres: Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c Where We Left Off: Just as Bay and Daphne's families started to adapt to each other, Regina dropped a huge bomb: She knew the girls had been switched for years. Matters were further complicated as Bay's biological father, and Regina's ex, Angelo, returned. What's Next: Angelo will be sticking around, as Regina starts to fall for him once again. Daphne tries to rekindle Emmet's feelings for her, even though he's now in a relationship with Bay. Meredith Baxter guest-stars as Bay and Daphne's grandmother.

The Walking Dead (AMC)

Premieres: Sunday, Feb. 12 at 9/8c Where We Left Off: After finding (presumed) safe harbor at the Greene farm, Rick & Co. discovered that Hershel was keeping zombies inside the barn. Meanwhile, Lori learned that she is pregnant and confessed her affair with Shane to Rick. However, after being spurned by Lori, Shane went postal, and, with the help of the group, killed all the walkers in Hershel's barn — including little Sophia, who'd been missing all season. What's Next: Being forced to kill the zombified Sophia will affect Rick's ability to lead the group, especially when Shane begins to further challenge Rick's authority. Tension between the group and Hershel will come to a head, which could mean the end for the survivor's vacation on the farm. And surprisingly, preparing to have a baby during the apocalypse will strengthen Rick and Lori's marriage.

White Collar (USA)

Premieres: Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10/9c Where We Left Off: Neal's scheme to have his treasure and continue to work at the FBI too failed miserably when Mrs. Suit was kidnapped. What's Next:Spoiler alert! Elizabeth lives! (Shocking, right?) We'll get to meet her folks — including her protective dad (played by Tom Skerritt), who disapproves of Mr. Suit. Despite Neal and Sarah's split earlier in the season, Sarah will save the day when Neal's double life is about to go up in smoke. And Peter's involvement in that mission won't please Peter's mentor, Agent Kramer (returning guest Beau Bridges), who's ready to send Neal away for a long time.
