Premieres: Tuesday, Sept. 13, 8/7c Where We Left Off: The West Bev gang graduated high school — but who cares about diplomas? Naomi announced she was pregnant! Ivy and Raj tied the knot! Liam left Annie to go sail the summer away alone! Adrianna came close to leaping off a cliff! What's Next: A summer will have passed and some of the gang will head to college — but who cares about class? Naomi and Max are on the rocks thanks to her news, while Ivy and Raj are facing cancer together, Liam's come back a changed man and the world is still shunning Adrianna. Drama!

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 22, 8/7c Where We Left Off: Newly betrothed Howard and Bernadette fought over a Rolex she bought him, and an India-bound Priya and Leonard were on the outs. But the biggest coupling twist of all, of course, was Penny sleeping with Raj after downing a few too many. What's Next: Naturally, there will be repercussions of Penny and Raj's night together, but executive producer Bill Prady promises that "you will be satisfied with how the characters respond to the events." Leonard and Priya try their hand at a long-distance relationship, while Howard and Bernadette plow forward with wedding planning, which will have its share of challenges (how could it not with Howard's mom?). The kicker: Prady "can't guarantee" a wedding... yet.

Premieres: Friday, Sept. 23, 10/9c Where We Left Off: Frank and Danny uncover the dirty cops of the Blue Templar responsible for Joe's death. The group's leader committed suicide and the rest were arrested, ending the Blue Templar forever. What's Next: David Ramsey joins the cast as the new mayor, whose philosophies run counter to those of Frank. Jamie will also work with a new partner (Lie to Me's Monica Raymund), but he'll form a friendship with a member of a notorious crime family. "He's not even sure if he's involved with the family or not, but Jamie has to decide whether or not to pursue this relationship as a friendship or as an informer," executive producer Ed Zuckerman says.

Premieres: Sunday, Sept. 25, 9/8c Where We Left Off: After breaking it off with Nucky because of his criminal dealings, Margaret returns to him with a stronger stomach. Meanwhile, all of Nucky's bought Republican candidates win their seats in the 1920 election, and The Commodore urges Jimmy to remove Nucky from power, with help from — surprise! — Nucky's brother Eli. What's Next: Jimmy is determined to take over mentor-turned-rival Nucky's turf, so of course Nucky's out for blood. But will he be too distracted by the appearance of his dead — or is she? — wife? Deadwood actress Molly Parker, who's been seen in photographs as his late wife, says it's "very possible."

Premieres: Thursday, Nov. 3, 9/8c Where We Left Off: After serial sniper Jacob Broadsky (Arnold Vosloo) killed squintern Vincent Nigel-Murray, Booth and Brennan consoled each other by totally getting it on. The result: Brennan is preggers with a little Booth! What's Next: Don't expect this season — which will be abbreviated to accommodate Emily Deschanel's real-life pregnancy — to be all babies and burp rags. Executive producer Stephen Nathan promises to introduce a new long-running villain as well as a new squintern (Gossip Girl's Luke Kleintank). Plus everything won't be rosy for our lead duo just because they're a couple. "They're not going to change," Nathan says. "These are two people who see the world in a fundamentally different way, and they're now going to have to find a way to live together and have a family."

Premieres: Monday, Sept. 19, 10/9c Where We Left Off: At Captain Montgomery's funeral (RIP, Roy!) Beckett was shot by a sniper working for the person trying to stop Beckett's continued investigation into her mother's murder. Before Beckett fell unconscious, Castle confessed his love to her. What's Next: Since Castle first turned Beckett on to reopening her mother's case, he's going to feel a great deal of guilt — and Beckett's boyfriend Josh won't help. "There is an altercation between Josh and Castle," executive producer Laurie Zaks teases. "They will absolutely have a discussion about the situation and who's culpable." Meanwhile, 24's Penny Johnson Jerald joins the cast as the new Castle-disliking police captain, and Michael Dorn will guest-star as Beckett's police-mandated psychiatrist.

Premieres: Friday, Oct. 21, 8/7c Where We Left Off: After donning some sunglasses labeled "For Chuck," Morgan was zapped with the techno hot flashes and is now the new Intersect. Also, newlyweds Chuck and Sarah bought their version of a home with the white picket fence: the Buy More and the Castle underneath it. What's Next: Star Wars legend Mark Hamill will guest-star in the premiere as a new villain, while Morgan embraces the Intersect's advantages. Chuck has to keep him in line, as well as run his new spy agency without the perks of working with the CIA. Making his task more difficult is the rival Verbanski Corp, run by the ruthless and beautiful Gertrude Verbanski (Carrie Anne-Moss), a fitting love interest to the normally grumbling Casey.

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 22, 8/7c Where We Left Off: Shirley's baby was born, and luckily, Chang was not the father. After the study group members turned their back on Pierce in the two-part, paintball-themed finale, he walked out of the library, vowing to go it alone. What's Next: Pierce isn't going anywhere. "I want to learn more about his character and continue to play games with the audience that allow them to answer that question of why would anybody ever hang out with this guy," creator Dan Harmon says. The reunited group will also face off with an intense biology professor (The Wire's Michael K. Williams), who was just released from prison. Meanwhile, John Goodman will also guest-star as the dean of Greendale's world-renowned air-conditioning repair school.

Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 9/8c Where We Left Off: Although JJ made a surprising return at Rossi's request, Hotch warns the team that federal budget cuts have put everyone's job in jeopardy. What's Next: "All of those threats that were made in the finale… have come true to some degree," executive producer Erica Messer says. "You'll learn who's been where and who's been doing what." Keep your eyes on Morgan in particular, who will uncover that Prentiss is still alive. Also look for JJ and Hotch, who kept that nugget a secret, to bond this season. "There is a relationship there that we think is worth exploring," Messer says. "It's nothing romantic, but there's definitely a bond that these two have... that doesn't come along very often."

Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10/9c Where We Left Off: Langston killed Nate Haskell (guest star Bill Irwin), and he and his fellow CSIs worked to prove that it was an act of self-defense rather than revenge. What's Next: Langston's out, Ted Danson's new supervisor D.B. Russell is in. (Laurence Fishburne did not renew his contract over the summer.) Russell's goal is to wrangle the CSIs after the Langston fiasco caused a shake-up, including a demotion for Catherine.

Premieres: Sunday, Sept. 25, 10/9c Where We Left Off: While conducting a manhunt for escaped fugitive Jack Toller, Natalia and Horatio were lured to a meeting by Toller's former cellmate Randy North. Rather than hand Toller over, North shot Horatio and put Natalia in the trunk of a car he then dumped off the pier. What's Next:How Horatio gets out of his deadly predicament will have everything to do with a chance encounter with his… dead wife?! "It is a very, very personal encounter that gives [Horatio] inspiration and insight into his predicament and ultimately how that predicament is resolved," co-executive producer Barry O'Brien says. Also, on-again, off-again couple Calleigh and Delko may just be on again. "The door is open, and we see them step through just a bit and certainly examine the possibility of what their future holds," O'Brien says.

Premieres: Friday, Sept. 23, 10/9c Where We Left Off: After a near-death experience, Mac became focused on clearing his last remaining cold case involving a kidnapped little girl. Once the case is closed, Mac pondered walking away from the crime lab for good. What's Next: Mac's back! The season premiere will pay tribute to the 10th anniversary of 9/11, which features flashbacks to the tragic day Mac's wife Claire (guest star Jaime Ray Newman) died. Meanwhile, Danny's been promoted to sergeant, and his new job on the mean streets will cause tension between him and Lindsay.

Premieres: Sunday, Sept. 25, 9/8c Where We Left Off: Tom and Lynette split, Bree jumped into bed with a new police detective boyfriend, and Renee used alcohol and a boy toy to cope with the news that her ex was remarrying. Oh, and Carlos accidentally killed Gaby's evil stepfather and Susan, Lynette and Bree agreed to keep it a secret. What's Next: The final season of the sudsy drama will be a return to the show's roots, according to producers, who are also keen on welcoming familiar faces back to Wisteria Lane, such as Susan's daughter, Julie, and runaway housewife Katherine Mayfair. Plus: Renee will welcome Wisteria Lane's new charming male neighbor (V's Charles Mesure) with very open arms and the rest of the girls will struggle with keeping Carlos' actions under wraps.

Premieres: Sunday, Oct. 2, 9/8c Where We Left Off: Dexter formed a deep emotional bond with Lumen, who fully accepted his murderous ways. Debra came thisclose to catching Dex and Lumen while they killed the man who had kidnapped and tortured Lumen and several other girls. Ultimately, Lumen left Miami to try to move on from her painful past. What's Next: Dexter will deal with his feelings about faith and whether he wants to pass along any beliefs to his son Harrison. And wouldn't you know it? One of the new characters in Dexter's life is a theology professor played by Edward James Olmos. Colin Hanks and Mos also guest-star as an antiques restorer and a (reformed?) ex-con, respectively.

Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 8/7c Where We Left Off: New Directions lost the big competition — again — but hey, Finchel is back on, Blaine said those three magic words to Kurt, Sam and Mercedes held hands and Sue has made peace (for now) with the glee club. What's Next: Sam's not coming back, but Mercedes is still going to return this fall with a new man on her arm. Executive producer Ryan Murphy has also promised major story lines for Tina, Mike and Artie, while Coach Sue will take her beef with glee clubs to the nation when she runs for Congress on a "no arts" platform. And, as you may have heard, a few characters will graduate this season.

Premieres: Sunday. Sept. 25, 9/8c Where We Left Off: In the wake of the bombshell that Kalinda slept with Peter, Alicia closed the book on her marriage and opened the door to a pricey presidential suite — and a possible relationship with Will. What's Next: After taking control of her life in Season 2, this year is all about taking risks. With Peter back in office, look for Eli Gold to rile things up as a new addition to Lockhart/Gardner.

Premieres: Monday, Sept. 26, 8/7c Where We Left Off: Sorry, Chuck and Blair fans: The Upper East Side's Queen B was set on becoming real royalty. Serena landed an internship with David O. Russell (really!) and Dan was headed for a summer in the Hamptons. Also, we learned — gasp — cousin Charlie isn't really cousin Charlie! What's Next: Serena will be living it up in La La land when we return, Blair will be planning for her upcoming wedding in Paris, and Vanessa and Little J will be nowhere in sight. (Why? Because they've been written entirely out of the show!)

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 22, 9/8c Where We Left Off: After tampering with the Alzheimer's clinical trial, Meredith was suspended just as she and Derek were able to bring home their newly adopted baby Zola. Elsewhere, April was elected Chief Resident, Cristina discovers she's pregnant again, and Teddy decides to stay in Seattle with Henry. What's Next: Meredith's misdeed will affect both her job and her relationship with Derek tremendously, executive producer Shonda Rhimes says. It will also impact others: The Chief will take the blame, which costs him his title. Meanwhile, Cristina will grapple with whether or not to have an abortion and Alex's decision to out Meredith will make him persona non grata at Seattle Grace.

Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 9/8c Where We Left Off: A newly engaged Rachael put Adam's briefs in a twist when she kissed him and confessed her feelings for him. Jenna and Malcolm hit a road bump when he refused to fess up to Harry about their relationship. What's Next: The jury is still out on Adam and Rachael, but Jenna and Malcolm's relationship won't be a problem since they won't be coming back. Jenna will replaced by new assistant Carrie (Karen Olivo) and Malcolm will be traded in for lawyer Oliver (Mark Valley). In court, Harry will go to bat for Eric Sanders (Alfred Molina), a man accused of murdering his wife.

Premieres: Monday, Sept. 19, 10/9c Where We Left Off: Chin Ho was offered a job on the police force that previously fired him. Kono was arrested for the $10 million missing from the evidence locker. And McGarrett was arrested for the murder of the governor and her aide, both of whom were actually killed by Wo Fat. What's Next: It remains unclear how the team members will get out of their various jams, but when they do, they will have someone form internal affairs (Tom Sizemore) sniffing around. We'll also meet the new governor (Richard T. Jones), a former Navy SEAL commander who trained McGarrett (Terry O'Quinn) and a homeland security agent who joins McGarrett's team.

Premieres: Monday, Oct. 3, 9/8c Where We Left Off: After seeing Cuddy with another man, House drove his car through Cuddy's house in a fit of jealousy. He escaped to a tropical location to avoid the police. What's Next: The season premiere will pick up a year later, with House having spent most of that time in jail. "We felt it was important that he pay a price for the way last year ended," creator David Shore tells us. House's time in the big house will provide some dramatic power shifts between House and his colleagues, one of whom may be running Princeton-Plainsboro in Cuddy's absence. (Lisa Edelstein decided to leave the show.) Plus: There's new blood: Odette Annable and Charlene Yi will both join House's team of diagnosticians in Season 8.

Premieres: Monday, Sept. 19, 8/7c Where We Left Off: Barney was the one getting married "a little ways down the road." But who was he marrying: Nora or Robin? Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily finally get pregnant, and Ted comes thisclose to reconciling with Zoey. What's Next: A little role reversal for Ted and Barney. The former, with his building being erected, plays the field, since he's quite the catch with the ladies now, while the latter slowly transforms into the marrying kind. The identity of Barney's bride — yes, he does get married — will be revealed, and there will be more candidates than just Nora and Robin, who starts dating Kevin (Kal Penn). The Season 7 finale will take place at Barney's wedding, and Lily and Marshall, who starts a new gig with Martin Short as his boss, will welcome their first child in the same episode. Let's hope the baby weighs less than 15 pounds.

Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10/9c Where We Left Off: Benson, Stabler and the rest of the precinct were hit hard when the daughter of a murder victim sprayed their station with bullets. What's Next: Stabler is out, and two new detectives (Kelli Giddish and Danny Pino) are in. Look for them to be paired as needed with Fin, Munch and Benson, who will continue to be the lead detective in the SVU squad. (Producers assure us Mariska Hargitay will appear in every episode.) The series will continue to rip from the headlines, including a take on an Arnold Schwarzenegger-like political adultery scandal. (Kyle MacLachlan stands in for the governator.) Also look for such guest stars T.R. Knight and Law & Order vet Linus Roache, who will reprise his Michael Cutter character.

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 22, 10/9c Where We Left Off: Patrick Jane finally came face-to-face with a man claiming to be Red John, the man who killed Jane's wife and daughter. Meanwhile, Lisbon shot and killed O'Loughlin (Eric Winter), Van Pelt's fiancée, after they learned that he was Red John's mole in the CBI. What's Next: Though Jane will argue that he killed Red John in self-defense, creator Bruno Heller tells us that the police will find no evidence to support Jane's claims. "Within five minutes of the season opener, Jane is in jail for homicide with no way out," he says. "The immediate problem is not so much, 'Is Red John alive or dead?' but, 'How the hell am I going to get out from under a death sentence?'" Also: Van Pelt will visit a CBI shrink to deal with the fallout of O'Loughlin's death and Reed Diamond will guest-star as the leader of a new CBI team that noses in on one of Lisbon's cases.

Premieres: Wednesday, Sept. 21, 9/8c Where We Left Off: Alex graduated from middle school and Phil and Claire realized their children are growing up too fast. Meanwhile, Jay's disastrous birthday party made Cam and Mitchell consider adopting another child. What's Next: Cameron and Mitchell's daughter may be speaking this season, as the show is recasting Lily with an older child actor. And the Modern Family clan's next family vacation will be to a dude ranch. "Phil will be on a horse," Ty Burrell teases. Who has $20 on him falling off?

Premieres: Tuesday, Sept 20, 8/7c Where We Left Off: The team found and killed Jonas Cobb, aka the Port-to-Port Killer. E.J. Barrett (guest star Sarah Jane Morris) removed a microchip from the arm of one of her dead agents. And the new Secretary of the Navy (guest star Matt Craven) gave Tony a top-secret mission to find someone who had been leaking NCIS intel. What's Next: Sounds like all the big mysteries will be answered in the season premiere, which covers all the time that's passed between seasons via flashbacks "You're going to get the answer to the microchip, the answer to who was in that photograph, and somebody's going to die," executive producer Gary Glasberg teases. Also this season, we'll meet McGee's grandmother (guest star Lily Tomlin) and Abby will learn an impactful secret about her past. Plus: A previously unseen old friend of Ziva's will surface.

Premieres: Tuesday, Sept 20, 9/8c Where We Left Off: Callen learned that Hetty's resignation from NCIS was an effort to protect Callen from the Comescu crime family that wants him dead. In Prague, Hetty told the family that Callen was already dead, but perhaps revealed that she is connected to the Comescu family herself. What's Next: "What we reveal in these first four episodes is more than what we've revealed about Callen's backstory in two seasons," executive producer Shane Brennan teases, although he says the mysteries surrounding Hetty won't be cleared up so easily. Brennan also promises that the team will swap partners later in the season, and that viewers will get some "heart-wrenching, gut-churning" stories about why Kensi became an NCIS agent

Premieres: Friday, Sept. 23, 8/7c Where We Left Off: Mikita was on the run, Alex teamed up with Amanda to join Oversight, and Percy was last seen unconscious. What's Next: Michael and Nikita, who are now equipped with a decrypted black box, will go out to right the wrongs they've discovered within. Meanwhile, Amanda is now the head of a rejiggered Division and with Alex's help, tries to hunt down Nikita.

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 22, 9/8c Where We Left Off: For those living under a rock, Dunder Mifflin is struggling to fill the hole (that's what she said!) left by Michael Scott's exit. What's Next: Robert California (James Spader) has been hired, but he will replace Sabre CEO Jo (Kathy Bates). Meanwhile, Jim and Pam will learn they're expecting baby No. 2.

Premieres: Tuesday, Sept. 13, 10/9c Where We Left Off: Baby talk was big with the Braverman clan: Adam found out Cristina was expecting right after he got canned, and Julia and Joel decided to adopt. Meanwhile, Sarah struggled to let go of Amber and Crosby struggled to get Jasmine back. What's Next: Crosby, still split from Jasmine, may collaborate with his unemployed brother on a new project. Sarah will face the big 4-0 right when Amber moves out, but luckily she'll have ex-boyfriend Mark back in her life to ease the pain. And Julia will find a potential baby to adopt closer than she expects: at work.

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 22, 8:30/7:30c Where We Left Off: So. Many. Cliff-hangers. Presented with an opportunity to run for office, will Leslie choose her career or love? Has Tom left City Hall for good? Will Ron's eyebrows ever grow back? What's Next: Executive producer Mike Schur tells us that Leslie will make a decision about whether to keep dating Ben immediately. Tom will check in, but he's sticking with 720 Entertainment (and his new wealthy international jetsetter stylings) for the foreseeable future. And Ron's facial hair? Well, that's going to go through several not-subtle transformations. Also, Andy will aspire to something greater than being the department's shoe-shine guy.

Premieres: Thursday, Sept. 29, 10/9c Where We Left Off: In the wake of an investigation by the medical board, Violet disappeared on her book tour, Naomi moved to New York with Fife, and Addison agreed to stay with Sam, but still planned to have a child, even if she has to do it herself. In the closing moments of the season, Pete suffers a heart attack, with no one but Lucas around to help. What's Next: Addison will continue to pursue trying to have a baby, while the reappearance of Benjamin Bratt's mysterious character (now named Jake Riley!) will surprise viewers, Shonda Rhimes says. Meanwhile, Amelia's struggle with addiction will affect her ability to do her job, and Pete's fate will rest in the hands of Cooper and Sam.

Premieres: October Where We Left Off: Shawn and Gus nabbed Yin and saved Yang. Shawn and Juliet (finally) got together, but failed to keep their romance a secret from Lassiter. What's Next: We spy some trouble ahead now that word is out on Shawn and Juliet. But there's still plenty of work to be done, including vampire- and baseball-themed episodes and the emergence of Juliet's estranged con-man dad (played by William Shatner).

Premieres: Friday, Sept. 23, 9/8c Where We Left Off:The Winchesters' former angel buddy Castiel got all drunk with power and souls, declared himself their new god and demanded they kneel before him ... or die. What's Next: They die! OK, we kid. Although some of the focus will be on Castiel and his newfound status, we'll also delve into Sam's past now that the mental walls have tumbled and he's fully reintegrated his different personas. The brothers will be together more than they were last season, and we'll see the return of Crowley (Mark Sheppard).

Premieres: Monday, Sept. 19, 9/8c Where We Left Off: Season 8 will be probably be remembered more for Charlie Sheen's off-screen antics than anything else, but the truncated outing abruptly wrapped with Charlie contemplating proposing in Paris to the married Rose. Like Gordon, Alan discovered Rose's "husband" is actually a mannequin, but kept that fact to himself after she offered him the dough to cover up his Ponzi scheme. What's Next: Ashton Kutcher replaces Sheen as Walden Schmidt, an Internet billionaire with a broken heart, but it remains unclear if he's related to Alan. And how does Charlie exit their lives? If rumors are to be believed, creator Chuck Lorre will kill the character, whose Malibu beachfront house is reportedly put up for sale in the premiere. Clean slate?

Premieres: Thursday, September 15, 8/7c Where We Left Off: Jeremy was reunited with his dead vampire ex-girlfriends, Elena kissed Damon and Klaus took Stefan back to the dark side What's Next: The show picks up on Elena's 18th birthday, but nobody has heard from Stefan, who is still with Klaus. Executive producer Julie Plec says there will be flashbacks to illustrate how Stefan got his previous "ripper" reputation and why Klaus wants him by his side so badly. As for Jeremy, Plec assures us that we'll understand why Anna and Vicki have returned, but Jeremy will do his best to hide his ability to see the dead from his current girlfriend, Bonnie.
