After 14 years and an unprecedented four Super Bowl wins with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bradshaw split his time between the broadcast booth and the big screen. He's appeared in such films as Hooper and The Cannonball Run and most recently opposite Kathy Bates in Failure to Launch. He's also appeared in dozens of TV commercials and made appearances on Everybody Loves Raymond, Married with Children and The League.

A college standout, Johnson only played a few months in the Canadian Football League before he became a superstar in the World Wrestling Federation. After the success of his debut film, The Scorpion King, he's focused mostly on acting, appearing in Walking Tall, Get Smart, Doom and The Tooth Fairy.

His best known roles are Apollo Creed in the Rocky franchise and George Dillon in Predator. He also played Adam Sandler's golf mentor in Happy Gilmore. On the small screen, he starred in the final season of In the Heat of the Night, guest-starred on The Shield and Arrested Development and recently starred in Fox's Brothers.

After portraying himself in the TV movie Brian's Song, this Hall of Fame linebacker made appearances in Cracking Up, Necessary Roughness, Any Given Sunday and Johnny Dangerously. Though he appeared on Coach, Growing Pains, and MacGyver, his greatest small-screen contributions were his regular characters on My Two Dads and Hang Time.

OK, so he never really appeared on film when he wasn't playing himself. But who can forget the pivotal scene in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective? Laces out, Dan!

After his storied NFL career and before his infamous legal problems, Simpson made a number of appearances in films such as Capricorn One, The Towering Inferno, Back to the Beach and most famously, The Naked Gun trilogy. He also appeared in the TV miniseries Roots and hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live.

Karras played himself in the film adaptation of the George Plimpton book, Paper Lion, which led to roles in Blazing Saddles and Porky's. Karras' greatest success, however, came in the 1980s, when he starred as adoptive father George Papadopolis in Webster.

This Hall of Fame linebacker spent his entire NFL career with the New York Giants. His work on-screen hasn't been much of a stretch: He played a football player similar to himself in Any Given Sunday and made cameos in The Sopranos and The Waterboy. He also had a bit role in Shaft and recently competed in Season 8 of Dancing with the Stars.

He was a starting quarterback at UCLA, but when he graduated he went straight to work in TV. In addition to notable film roles in Summer School and Freaky Friday, Harmon is best known for his work on Flamingo Road, St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope and currently NCIS.

After 14 years with the New York Giants, Strahan caught the bug for TV after a guest spot on NBC's Chuck. He went on to produce and star in Brothers. Hopefully its meager success won't scare him away!

He signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Bills right out of college, but a knee injury forced him off the turf and into acting. He had guest roles in A Different World and Beverly Hills, 90210 before landing his breakout role as Superman/Clark Kent in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Since then, he's appeared in the film Out of Time and held a recurring role on NBC drama Las Vegas.

After an injury ended his Florida State college football career, Reynolds gave acting a try and never looked back. He's scored more than 300 TV credits and earned roles in more than 90 films, including Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, The Cannonball Run, The Longest Yard and Boogie Nights.

Like his best-known TV character Al Bundy, O'Neill was signed to play professional football in 1969 but was cut from the Pittsburgh Steelers before the season began. With Married with Children, O'Neill helped put Fox on the map. He went on to do films such as The Bone Collector and Little Giants, but his success has come mostly from roles in the TV series The West Wing and current hit Modern Family.
