Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower

It took eight weeks, but Ty was finally able to loosen up in a Latin dance with his spirited samba. Who knew he actually had it in him? The rodeo star still has ways to go before he can catch up to his four competitors, but it's getting seriously hard not to root for this underdog.

Your take: "I was howling and screaming for Ty to "Get it, boy! You betta' work!" I was so happy to watch him — he's just the best. He really is. I know it wasn't perfect, and he was spotty when it came to keeping loose and fluid, but just watching him try was worth the "price of admission," so to speak." — 10000hrs

Lil' Kim & Derek Hough

Kim recovered from a less-than-sexy rumba with a kickass paso doble. But we wouldn't expect any less from this bold Queen Bee. Unfortunately, she's still unable to crack the Melissa-Gilles-Shawn trifecta in our rankings. Will she ever?

Your take: "This was the second best female paso ever for DWTS. To me, Jennie Garth still did the best for a female star, capturing the Latin flavor with style and grace, but Kim was awesome in her own right, and this was the best dance tonight." — FrenchCelt

Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani

The sympathy votes are alive and kickin' — even when the celebrity is not. Melissa was MIA for her jive and the team mambo thanks to a hairline fracture in her rib, but she survived elimination and received 11 percent of our readers' votes. Maybe it was those gravity-defying jeans in her rehearsal footage that swayed some votes. Hmm.

Your take: "I seriously was waiting for a wardrobe malfunction. Those jeans were crazy low! Too bad she got injured. I bet she would've done a great jive." — zortil

Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke

A real man dances through pain! Or maybe just French men? Despite re-aggravating his shoulder, Gilles put on a vibrant Lindy Hop to bounce back near the top. We thought going shirtless in the team tango would afford him more votes, but alas, the Sex-y stud only accrued 21 percent.

Your take: "Hated the hair! Dance was good, but he is definitely better at Latin!" — fldancingfan

Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas

Topping our rankings yet again — this time with 66 percent — is Shawn, who earned her second 10 of the season for her precise samba. But again, where is that elusive 30?

Your take: "Glad to see that Shawn has kept the hip action. I liked this dance. I have to remember that the Samba isn't a fast dance like Cha-cha-cha. I liked it." — Jerri36
