After an adorable turn in E.T. when she was 6 years old, things went downhill for Barrymore. The actress experimented with alcohol, marijuana and cocaine by the time she entered rehab for the first time at age 13. She returned to rehab after a suicide attempt the following year. After successfully filing for emancipation from her parents as a teen, Barrymore continued acting and posed nude for Interview at age 17 and Playboy at age 19. The actress eventually got on the straight and narrow and has stayed there for the past decade-plus, founding her own production company and starring in a number of box office hits.

Bonaduce started using drugs shortly after The Partridge Family ended in 1974. He later became addicted to alcohol and steroids. In 1990, he was arrested for allegedly attempting to buy cocaine while in town in Daytona Beach, Fla., for a D.A.R.E. anti-drug campaign. A year later, Bonaduce was arrested on charges of robbing and beating a transvestite prostitute. In 2005, he and his second wife Gretchen starred in the reality series Breaking Bonaduce, which chronicled the couple's hardships and his struggle to stay on the wagon.

Bonsall, who played Andy on Family Ties, retired from acting in 1995 and pursued a career in music, but was plagued by legal troubles. In 2001, he was convicted of DUI and was arrested on similar charges three years later. In 2007, he was charged with second degree assault and false imprisonment stemming from an argument with his girlfriend. He pleaded guilty to lesser charges and was sentenced to two years' probation, but since 2009, he has been arrested a number of times on charges ranging from assault to drug possession. Bonsall claims he suffers from bipolar disorder and struggles with alcohol and drug addictions.

The Diff'rent Strokes scene-stealr, who was sexually abused as a child, was addicted to crack cocaine. In 1988, he was arrested on charges of attempted murder for allegedly shooting a drug dealer in Los Angeles while on a crack binge. Bridges pleaded not guilty and was acquitted. The actor chronicled his struggles in his 2010 memoir, Killing Willis: From Diff'rent Strokes to the Mean Streets to the Life I Always Wanted.

The former star of All That and What I Like About You has become known more for her bizarre antics than her acting ability in recent years. In 2010, she announced on Twitter that she was retiring from acting but then "unretired" a month later. In 2012 alone, she has found herself in near-constant legal trouble and has faced charges of DUI, hit-and-runs, driving with a suspended license, and a number of other traffic-related offenses.

The Home Alone star became estranged from his father, Broadway actor Kit Culkin, due to financial and other matters. In 2004, he was arrested for possession of marijuana and prescription pills. Following a public split from Mila Kunis in 2011 after nearly 10 years together, Culkin was photographed looking disheveled in New York City and was the subject of a report in the National Enquirer saying he was addicted to heroin and prescription drugs.

One half of "the Coreys," the former teen idol was addicted to heroin and cocaine for two years in the '80s. Feldman eventually sobered up and has been clean for two decades. His pal and former co-star, Corey Haim, who also battled drugs, died in 2010.

The erstwhile John Connor battled drug and alcohol addiction after rising to fame at 13 in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Furlong, who admitted to being admitted to cocaine and heroin from the ages of 22 to 26, was arrested twice in one day in 2001 for two different DUI incidents and in 2004 for freeing lobsters from a supermarket's tank while drunk. Furlong cleaned up when he married and started a family in 2006, but has since split from his wife and is embroiled in a bitter divorce.

Garrett was under the influence of alcohol and Quaaludes in 1979 — three days before his 18th birthday — when he crashed his car in an accident that left his best friend Roland Winkler a paraplegic. The friends were estranged for years after the former teen idol settled Winkler's negligence lawsuit out of court and didn't reunite until 1999. In recent years, Garrett has been arrested on heroin and cocaine drug possession charges.

Lohan's string of legal trouble began in 2007 after two DUI arrests, which led to numerous rehab stays and being put on probation. After not complying with the terms of her probation and failing drug tests, Lohan was frequently — though briefly — jailed. Even a rehab stint at the Betty Ford Center stirred drama, when a staffer accused her of criminal batter. In 2011, Lohan was sentenced to jail and community service after pleading no contest to a necklace theft charge. Her probation from the 2007 arrests finally ended in March 2012 after she completed her community service. Lohan is still on informal probation for the theft charge until May 2014.

O'Neal, who became the youngest Oscar winner ever when she won Best Supporting Actress for Paper Moon at 9 years old, has battled heroin addiction most of her life. Her dependency paved way for her ex-husband John McEnroe to obtain custody of their three kids after their divorce. In 2008, she was arrested for attempting to buy crack cocaine was found with a bag of crack ocaine, a bag of powder cocaine and a crack pipe on her. She pleaded guilty and agreed to a drug treatment program.

Phillips says she first tried cocaine when she was 11 when her father — with whom she claims she had an incestuous relationship — injected her with the drug. After her 2008 arrest on drug possession charges at LAX, the actress pleaded guilty and completed a drug treatment program. Phillips later appeared on Celebrity Rehab in 2010.

The Home Improvement star — who played youngest son Mark on the ABC sitcom and sued his parents as a teen, accusing them of squandering his money — was arrested in 2012 on DUI and drug possession charges after police saw his car parked in front of a hydrant. Hash, a type of marijuana, was found in his car. He later pleaded guilty to the drug possession charge and no contest to the DUI. He was sentenced to a 12-hour program for the DUI conviction and to a six-month drug diversion program. He was also placed on three years' probation.

The actress says she started using meth out of boredom after Full House ended and has also done cocaine and ecstasy. Sweetin hid her addiction from her first husband, who is a cop. She has been sober since 2005 and wrote a memoir, UnSweetined in 2009 documenting her struggles.
