No. 6) Poor Syesha Mercado is in last place for the sixth straight week in our power rankings! She just can't catch a break with the judges or America. This week, she garnered only 1.1 percent of the vote.

No. 5) Brooke White did the best she could on Mariah Carey night, singing a low-key version of "Hero," but still ended up second-to-last in our Power Rankings with a lowly 4.9 percent.

No. 4) Carly Smithson belted out a powerful version of "Without You," but the judges weren't in love with it. Give her a break, guys (Simon)! But since America listens to Simon, Carly only scored 5.9 percent in our Power Rankings.

No. 3) Jason Castro has a decent female fan following but only scored 9.9 percent of the vote this week. He'd make the top three if it were up to us, but will America agree

No. 2) David Archuleta wowed the judges with his version of "If You Believe" and his leather pants wowed millions of tweens, but David is still a distant second place to David Cook at 24.4 percent.

"He has great talent for his age and will go far, so I don't worry if he wins or loses." (kimberlyanne89) "He seems like a nice enough kid, but he's kind of boring." (MrsT1040)

No. 1) David Cook took another risk this week and sang a dark, alternative version of "Always Be My Baby," and the risk paid off. He snagged the top spot once again in our rankings with a whopping 54.6 percent of the vote.
