No. 5: The highest-ranked girl, Brooke White, showed herself to be an impressive song stylist with an acoustic version of "Love Is a Battlefield" that had all the judges raving.

No. 4: Though his vocals on "Don't You (Forget About Me)" were solid enough to keep him in the running, Michael Johns' trademarks are definitely his good looks and charm.

No. 3: One of last week's most memorable performances came courtesy of David Cook, whose rocked-out "Hello" was both impressive and surprising. David's willingness to take chances makes him one to watch in the weeks to come.

No. 2: After a couple of so-so performances, Jason Castro had something to prove with last week's tender "Hallelujah," and it paid off with a step up the Power Rankings to the second spot, with 13.3 percent of the votes.
