Her LeAnn Rimes cover left Haley "Blue," and she ended up in the bottom three. Her luck didn't change much in our poll, and she remains tied for last. We're not sure going back to pop/R&B as the judges suggested would even make much difference at this point.

Like Haley, Karen was in the bottom three and is now tied for last in our Power Rankings. Her snoozy Selena cover did little to excite the judges or voters. Here's hoping she goes up-tempo this week.

Stefano definitely showed some diversity in his dance remix of Stevie Wonder's "Lately." Although the judges liked the performance (and shockingly, the ghastly arrangement), he still isn't connecting with voters in our poll.

Naima turned more heads with her reggae-rap breakdown in Rihanna's "Umbrella" than any contestant since beat-boxing Blake Lewis. Surprisingly, it worked, as she climbed a few notches in our Power Rankings. What other tricks might she have up her sleeve?

Paul probably didn't do himself any favors by singing a Ryan Adams song that many viewers (and J. Lo) were unfamiliar with. But have you seen the guy's smile?

This slid in our poll this week, no doubt because of the odd jazzy arrangement she chose for "Smile." She picked the song to show off what Randy Jackson calls her Michael Jackson-like tone, but all of that was lost the minute the band kicked in. As this season's youngest singer, we want to see her having some fun up there!

Jacob hit some major sour notes during his version of "I Believe I Can Fly," but his big ending — complete with gospel choir! — proved enough to keep him safe. He remains in the middle of the pack, despite his powerhouse voice. Perhaps voters are hoping to see him change it up a little?

The judges' golden child also had her first taste of criticism this week after a just OK rendition of Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine." Although she seemed to take it hard, we think she'll bounce back. And she clearly remains in the hunt among our voters.

The screeching rocker showed a little bit of restraint on Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed," and he leaps toward the top of our Power Rankings. Something tells us he'll be back to rocking and rolling soon enough, but we prefer James' softer side.

He stuck to his country roots with Garth Brooks' "The River," but he slid down two spots in our Power Rankings. We applaud his resolve to not go against what comes natural to him, but he may soon wear out the patience of the voters who don't care for country music.

If Casey can stay out of the hospital, he's in great shape to go far in this competition. His take on "With a Little Help from My Friends" did Joe Cocker proud, but it felt very similar to his most recent performances. He's got the personality to keep audiences entertained, but let's hope he mixes things up a bit vocally.

She wasn't a fluke! Everyone took notice of Pia after a show-stopping performance during the Top 24. Last week, she proved she could bring the goods any time she likes with the Celine Dion version of "All By Myself." The performance won raves from the judges and vaulted Pia all the way to the top of our Power Rankings.
