6. Kris AllenThough Kris has had a couple of great weeks — and clearly the ladies in the Idol audience love his style and look — but Kris still hasn't broken past the middle of our power rankings.

5. Matt GiraudOur voters were much more kind to Matt than the rest of America who put him in the bottom three last week. Even though Matt brought it with a soulfully stirring rendition of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," what will he have to do this week to get America's attention?

4. Allison IrahetaAllison got the crowd on its feet with a powerful performance of "Papa Was a Rolling Stone," and she earned hefty praise from the judges. Kara even said Allison sounds like she's been singing for 400 years! She also earned herself a nice boost in our rankings. Will we finally see her make it into the Top 3 next week?

3. Danny GokeyHmm, Danny Gokey is slipping in our rankings, and by quite a margin! This week, Simon called his rendition of "Get Ready" clumsy and amateurish. Is that why he fell in our poll to a distant third place?

2. Adam LambertAdam was compared to everyone from Elvis to Ricky Nelson after unveiling his clean-cut look for Motown week. His tender version of "Tracks of My Tears," was called the best performance of the night by Simon, but it wasn't enough to boost him back into first place.

1. Anoop Desai'Noop Dogg is in the house! After a strong, if a little sleepy, performance of "Ooh Baby Baby," Anoop is not only safe, he's nabbed the molten-hot No. 1 spot in our power rankings.
