We've seen major couture blunders from veteran fashionistas this year, so it's with great pleasure that we call out awards rookie Taraji P. Henson for looking incredible, all season long. She either has phenomenal taste or an excellent stylist; either way, we give her an A+!

It pains us to diss such stylish ladies, but what was going on at the Globes? Usually, Kristin Scott Thomas makes us drool over her incredible European gowns (especially at Cannes), but this one makes her look washed-out. And Blake, you little Gossip Girl fashion phenom, there is no reason to stuff your curvy bod into a dress that's clearly two sizes too small.

Although Evan Rachel Wood has a haughty look here, we can't deny how fabulous her old-Hollywood frock and coif are at the Oscars. Kate Winslet, meanwhile, dazzled over and over this season, but our favorite look was this simple, glamorous gown at the Golden Globes.

Leopard print is cute on the occasional handbag, but Maggie Gyllenhaal and Whoopi Goldberg didn't get the memo. Blue print, Maggie? Really? And Whoopi, that dress is more housecoat than Oscar-worthy gown.

Anne Hathaway, you've done us all proud. Not only did you look fabulous at every awards show this season, but we haven't forgotten that you were cool enough to make fun of your own breakup on SNL. May your ex eat his heart out!

There were many funky trends this season, but none as puzzling as the ginormous body bows on what would otherwise be beautiful gowns. Amanda Seyfried's is big enough to place on a 16-year-old's shiny new car, while Amy Adams' interrupts her whole look.

We couldn't keep track of how many starlets sported the one-shouldered look this season — even first lady Michelle Obama chose the style for her inaugural gown. Of the style's red-carpet appearances, we give props to Laura Linney for going with orange instead of her usual navy or black, and kudos to Marisa Tomei for her sexy tribute to napkin-folding.

If being 40+ means we can look this good, sign us up! Demi Moore, Mary-Louise Parker and Salma Hayek all gave us something to look forward to with their beautiful gowns and youthful glow.

Don't you just want to shake beautiful people when they hide their hot bods? We will never understand why this unflattering, potato-sack style took off this season. Angie, we know you're smokin' under all that material, so why do you have to hide it?

We couldn't help but notice how fantastic Robert Downey Jr. looked at the Oscars: handsome, tan, rested and healthy. And we all know that Megan Fox is a sexpot, but we thought she looked both classy and seductive in this gold, beaded number. We'd have either of them on our arms any day!

We didn't love Eva Mendes' gown from the Globes, but her whole look came together with a bold turquoise and diamond necklace. Bonus: the necklace can double as a weapon if drunk revelers get too touchy. Amy Adams could also use her Oscars-night neck plate to deflect bullets (take that, Wonder Woman!).

We love when beautiful women pick just the right shade of red for an awards show. Some reds are too orange, while others veer too far to the pink side of the color wheel. Two of our favorites this season were Eva Longoria's Globes dress, and Christina Hendricks' SAG Awards gown. The looks suit their personalities, body types and skin tones.

Nothing peeves us more than seeing attractive celebs sporting styles that make them look older than their years. We practically gasped while watching the Globes coverage because of so many bad helmet-head coifs. What were Jennifer Morrison, Drew Barrymore and Cyndi Lauper thinking? 1984 is over, ladies!

We can't help but wonder — especially after seeing their interesting takes on Oscar-worthy fashion — who would be more fun to party with: Mickey Rourke or Philip Seymour Hoffman? Is a white suit and gold tooth more fun than a grungy ski cap? Big comeback, or steady success? It's a toss-up.

Seriously, ladies, can we keep the bling under control? J.Lo, you may have been able to get away with that dress 10 years ago, but now it's just overdone. Miley, meanwhile, is outfitted like a sparkly clam. Finally, Paula: Leave the shoulder armor at home.

The Oscars brought out a bevy of well-dressed and happy couples for us to delight in. Sean and Robin Wright Penn as well as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went with classic black looks and wowed the crowd.

Again, we're not sure how such lovely and fashionable ladies can veer so far off the mark. Could Hayden Panettiere and Sarah Jessica Parker's dresses look any tighter and less comfortable? We're just relieved Sarah's chest stayed in the dress. That could have been awkward!

We typically like our dessert after dinner and not walking the red carpet. Katy Perry and Olivia Wilde's over-the-top pink gowns made us cringe... and go on a sugar fast.

If Jenna Fischer doesn't get a stylist soon, we'll get one for her to undo the frump. Her biggest no-no this season was this prison-grey halter dress that detracted from her warm hair and skin tones. Tilda Swinton insists on looking like a ghost, while Meryl Streep, like Jenna, should hire someone to find her a dress with personality!

We enjoy a good bib when we're out on the town eating lobster, but not as a part of a pricey couture ensemble. These gowns could have been lovely without the extra yardage. Well, maybe not Sheryl Crow's.
