February 26, 2007: Feeling Sorry

I titled this week's blog "feeling sorry" because I kept feeling sorry for so many people in this episode. Of course, I kept laughing at all of their sorrow and pain as well. It was a good balance.

I felt sorry for Duncan. He had to go out to lunch with Yonk and listen to him talk about keeping Nicole company while he's out, all while hiding the fact that Nicole's about to leave him. I actually might have felt sorry for him that he wouldn't get to see the Sixers game, either. (No wait, no one needs to see the Sixers right now.)

I felt sorry for Nicole that Yonk got home early and ruined her plans to have things packed and ready to go.

I felt sorry for Richie that he had to hold in the fact that Nicole was packing to leave Duncan. And I felt sorry that he got tossed on his head after riding the bull for .01 seconds.

I felt sorry for Kyle that he never gets to see his boyfriend.

And I felt really sorry for Kat that she gave her heart to Benjamin Chow and it turned out ugly.

So that's a whole lot of sorry goin' on. But there was a whole lot of laughter going on as well.

Lina stopping by Nicole's house was hilarious. Holding up the bra that was supposedly going to charity and Nicole commenting that "just because you're poor doesn't mean you can't look perky" was great. But I laughed out loud later on when Lina was trying on the snow gear and started skiing down the steps.

And the scenes at the restaurant were great as well. How about Yonk calling the cheesecake "sugar and fat making love on a plate," or when Richie, after eating 40 ounces of steak, said, "Seriously, I'm burping hooves."

Of course, then I have to feel sorry again when Yonk has a heart attack after riding the bull. That should seriously damper Nicole's plan to leave him.

One thing I was so happy to finally see was Ethan in action as a doctor. I still don't think it's believable, but it's nice to finally see him do his job!

All in all, another good one as we get closer to the end of the season.

Until next week, friends.
