September 7, 2008 (Nominations/Luxury)

A sumo wrestler, a luxury competition that will "change the game" and Dan's nominations: this was sure to be a jam-packed Sunday episode. What clue will the sumo wrestler unveil? How exactly would this luxury competition change the game? I hope it's not a big build up to nothing special. Will Judas Dan flip the house with his nominations? Let's find out!

We picked up in the aftermath of Renny's eviction and Dan explained that she was too likeable to keep around. I see that point. Keesha, of course, got a little misty at the thought of her friend leaving but she should really have been thanking her lucky stars that the boys didn't vote her out. At least not that week...

...This week is another story. Dan is HOH and as Memphis reminded us, Dan has been known to do some wacky stuff. His reign definitely had Jerry and Keesha concerned and even Memphis didn't know what Dan would come up with. Will he put his bro on the block again?

So we learned that the gibberish the sumo wrestler was saying wasn't gibberish after all. He said, "I am sitting on the information you need." Yikes! I wouldn't want to touch what was under his butt. Seriously - did you see the zits on his thighs? Gross. Get that guy some Neutrogena Body Wash. I nominate Jerry to pull it out. However, since the houseguests had no idea what he was saying, they just sat around and stared until sumo guy rose to show them an envelope he was sitting on. Finally, Dan pulled the envelope out and they learned that getting the envelope launched the luxury competition and that one of them would win a trip out of the house and it could change the game. Hmmmm.

After the sumo hoopla subsided, the big three talked about how it was going to suck having Jerry around and Keesha asked if they would make it to the final three. Dan assured her that unless Jerry wins POV they would. I absolutely think she is a goner if she doesn't win but I'm getting ahead of myself. However, Keesha also seemed to feel that way and she confessed in the diary room that with Renny gone she is alone against the boys. Jerry worked on Memphis and told him the jury said they would vote for a woman in the end. I don't know where he got that tidbit of info but it at least reiterated the point that the boys had a choice to make: Jerry or Keesha in the final three?

Next we saw the back yard covered with strange objects and a gorilla went into the house and woke up all the houseguests. When the gorilla went into the diary room, we learned the gorilla was Jesse and I instantly remembered why I was glad he was voted out. Dan filled the houseguests in on the objects: they needed to use the clues to come up with a common phrase that could be useful in the house. They had 3 hours and 3 guesses each and they were warned that some of the clues were misleading, which surely meant they were just there to screw them up. Clues were slowly covered up and that meant those clues weren't needed to solve the puzzle. Jerry and Keesha used a few guesses early but Dan waited until there were 2 items left (a blueberry and an egg with the word "it" on it) and made his first guess: bury the hatchet. His strategy of waiting until he was sure paid off as it was the right guess. His prize was a helicopter trip to a remote island beach for a day. Heavenly! Now the twist was actually a pretty good one. He could take someone with him and it could be a current houseguest or someone from the jury house. That could be huge as I'm sure he could sway a vote his way. He decided to take Michelle because he thought since Libra stole** a trip from her this would be a great way to get her vote. Dan decided to tell the houseguests he chose to go alone as to not create animosity among the houseguests and that was a pretty smart move. What will Monica think of him alone on a beach with a single woman? He better pack his lame-o Taken shirt.

**I just want to reiterate that Libra did not steal a trip from Michelle. She won it fair and square. Maybe it wasn't nice, but it wasn't stealing. It really bothers me that people think that.

Earlier in the show Memphis said he'd be mad if Dan nominated him again, but after a talk in the HOH the boys decided it would be a smart move to cover up their alliance and hopefully reassure Keesha. If Keesha didn't feel the pressure of the block, she may not compete hard enough in the Veto. However, if Jerry won and it was between Keesha and Memphis, Dan could lose his ally. With so many possibilities after the Veto, nominations were the least of anyone's worries. In the end, Keesha's key was the only one in the box and Memphis and Jerry were on the block. Maybe their plan worked as Jerry definitely was surprised by it and Keesha was excited as well thinking this meant Dan would want to keep her over Memphis. These guys are smarter than I thought! Or maybe Jerry and Keesha are pretty gullible. But will the boys be able to stay together? We'll have to wait until the Veto and don't forget that Tuesday is a special live episode and eviction. Share your thoughts below and stop back here Tuesday to discuss the final three! See you soon! - Krista
