PoV 11; Eviction 11; Final HoH, Part 1

The Evel Dick-proclaimed "Season of the Donatos" is drawing to a close, and the dynamic duo has made it to the end of the line, along with, quite possibly, the most unexpected HouseGuest of all. After tonight's display of juvenile cockiness courtesy of Dick, I have to say that I am really, really rooting for Zach. Yes, the renewed faith bit is a little contrived for sure and he certainly waited too long to align with, as Amber would say, the "good people" but he was also the only one who made a real effort to get Dick and Daniele out. For either one of them to fault Zach for going his own way and breaking their (shaky, at best) alliance is incredibly hypocritical. How many people did they backstab and throw under the bus along the way? Let's ask Jessica and Eric, the two most recent evictees.

Once Daniele won the PoV, it was all over for Jameka, and she accepted her fate with the same maturity and grace she has displayed throughout the game. At times Jameka allowed herself to be drawn into the mudslinging with Dick, but mostly she remained above the fray, staying true to herself and maintaining good relationships with almost everyone. It is definitely no small feat to get this far in the game having won so few competitions, and as Jameka makes her way to the jury house, she should be proud of her accomplishment. I think she will be a fair judge and will really look at the competition as a whole.

As Jameka did her interview with Julie, I had to smile as she inquired about Zach. Certainly, these two are never going to be best buddies and Jameka's response about keeping in touch via e-mail made me laugh. The Chenbot strikes again. (I did love that they shared the news about her sister's baby with Jameka. What an emotional way to end the game!)

Getting back to the Donatos and Zach, there were a few exchanges that summed up my feelings. I loved when Zach talked about his remaining week dealing with an "overgrown 12-year-old" because that's exactly what I was thinking. Even Dick's pep talk to Daniele before the PoV, "If we can't beat these two idiots, we deserve to go home," was very petty and dismissive. Come on Dick, these two "idiots" have made it to the final four just like you, and they didn't slide in on the coattails of their estranged children. Give them the credit they deserve.

It is pretty obvious that Dick is a person who speaks first and thinks later, and while I am sure he has made amends with people for some of the cruel and vindictive comments he has made, it still doesn't excuse it. The behavior that was on display tonight coupled with Daniele's bratty vindictiveness just makes them both, in my opinion, tough people to root for in this competition. Of course, a number of you disagree with me and that's what this is all about, right?

So we finally got to see the Sequester House tonight and man, did Dustin get it right or what? Being a loser has never been so satisfying or well rewarded. As expected, Jen was still her annoying self and Amber was still making no sense talking about good people and bad people but hey, that's why we love these visits to the jury.

I am curious to hear what you guys have to say about Jessica's reaction to Eric's arrival. Throughout their "showmance," I have gotten the sense that things were a little lopsided and that maybe Eric was slightly more into Jessica than she was into him. I'm not sure if that is because Jessica is uncomfortable with the television angle or what, but her comment that Eric is "fun to hang out with" doesn't necessarily sound like someone who is head over heels. I hope I'm wrong because I do think these two were very sweet together.

Finally, were those competitions tonight brutal or what? I was so confused by the PoV competition that I couldn't even summarize what the objective was. I laughed when Zach admitted he was totally on the wrong track for the first few minutes because man, I would have been at the wrong station! I guess it was no surprise that the first part of the final HoH competition was going to be a doozy. Before the rain was introduced, I thought that Daniele would have this in the bag, but as the broadcast closed, she looked cold and miserable and Dick looked concerned. With just two more episodes to go (not counting Sunday's recap show), it is still very much anyone's game.
