September 16, 2008 (Finale Night!)

Like last season, Krista and I decided to have a little post-winner crowning chat about the finale episode and the season in general. Below is our conversation. We have so enjoyed blogging this season and want to thank all of you for your very active participation. Share all your final thoughts (and questions for Memphis and Dan) in the comments. We'll see you next time! - Adam

Adam: Dan!!! Was there ever any doubt?
Krista: No there wasn't! I thought it was pretty obvious after the jury questioning. Though, after Ollie was ousted I thought he'd never win, but it really turned for him in the end.
Adam: A well-deserved win in my opinion.
Krista: People were impressed with his play. You are right - well deserved! 7-0: That was a bit surprising.
Adam: Yeah, but again, it make sense I think. Could April have been more a mouthpiece for Memphis before the interrogation?
Krista: I know, she has him by the short ones. She looked like she was summoning Catwoman in that outfit when they were questioning the Final 2. I thought she was going to vote for Memphis because he screwed Keesha.
Adam: Haha. I thought she was just sticking up for Ollie, but I guess it was to get back at Keesha. That's more her style.
Krista: She was sticking up for him, though. Dan did stab him pretty good. It is kind of nice that she feels like defending him.
Adam: What about Renny finally calling out "chauvanist pig" Jerry?
Krista: I'm glad Renny finally called him out on his behavior...and so did Steven. I'm also glad he called out Michelle and April for their immature behavior.
Adam: Yeah, and their reaction was like, "What?" Typical.
Krista: What about the jury prize? Sort of feel bad for Jerry?
Adam: I have to say, I think it was all because of you that Keesha won. ;)
Krista: Hahaha! If that were true, I'd be the happiest spiteful gal on the East Coast.
Adam: I did feel a little bad for Jerry coming in second. I didnt like his attitude a lot of the time, but you have to give him some credit for sticking in there as long as he did, for a man of his age.
Krista: Absolutely! And they all were annoyed by him, which made it even more incredible that they kept him around. His wife could really use the money, so that is sort of upsetting. He'll get a nice lump from his stipend though, so I hope that will do him some good.
Adam: Was Renny in rare form tonight or what? First she took forever to get down the catwalk, and then that speech! I felt like I was watching Russell Brand at the VMAs again.
Krista: She is a riot! My zany Renny...she looked great, but I was definitely screaming at her to walk quicker! Her speeches never made sense to me, and this one was no different.
Adam: I think my favorite part of the jury interrogation was Dan and Memphis' shocked looks at each other when the jury revealed things they didn't know. Although I though it was crappy of Michelle to make it her sole goal to air the dirty laundry.
Krista: I know! I thought Dan would have told Memphis about taking Michelle, and it was funny how quickly Dan's neck snapped when Michelle revealed her alliance with Memphis. Michelle is petty...we saw that the whole season.
Adam: Of course. Who could forget the leo-tahhhhhd?
Krista: Oh, God yes! I won't be missing that accent anytime soon
Krista: I'm glad they showed that Dan was America's Player. I almost forgot about that.
Adam: I had to laugh, because I remember Brian saying Dan should take his 20 grand and get the hell out. And he turned it around and won it all! I guess the mad genius was wrong about that one.
Krista: Yeah, that and everything else!
Adam: Hahaha
Krista: Keesha looked sad at the end, didn't you think? She didn't looked shocked that she won America's Favorite Juror. I think she was very overwhelmed. April looked peeved so that's all I cared about!
Adam: Yeah, maybe she felt bad for Jerry, too. (I doubt it.)
Krista: Hahaha!
Adam: Now, I think you and I disagree on this one. Renegades vs. Chilltown: Who's better?
Krista: Still Chilltown...but it's all Will.
Adam: I don't know. I love Chilltown (mostly Will), but they never made it to the Final 2 together. I'd say that's a pretty big accomplishment, and they had two shots at it.
Krista: True...the Renegades may be the stronger team but will never be as fun to watch!
Adam: This is true. Those dual diary room sessions are classic.
Krista: I could watch them every season.
Adam: I honestly am ready for another All Atars...am I lame?
Krista: No! I want an All Stars too. It should be every 3rd or 4th season.
Adam: As long as no one from Season 9 is on it!
Krista: Season 9 should be like the lost season on Dallas...it was all a dream!
Krista: I wonder what happened to those people. Is James still alive?
Adam: He's probably biking through the Adirondacks.
Krista: In knee-highs and short shorts!
Adam: And somewhere Matt is ignoring Natalie's phone calls.
Krista: Oh, he was in the audience tonight with Adam. I saw Jen and Nick and Zack and Veto King James.
Adam: I also saw Bunky.
Krista: Bunky will never die...much like his chronic back hair syndrome. He's sweet though, so it's ok!
Adam: Ok, so time to complain, and maybe BB will hear us.
Krista: Ok, go!
Adam: Stop with the recaps! I say it every blog. They are just torture!
Krista: I know!
Adam: 7 minutes of jury reveal time lost. If they must have them, they should at least extend the finale to 90 minutes.
Krista: I have always said the finale is way too short. I want more reveals, more screaming. They didn't even talk to Angie!
Adam: Poor Angie. It was Just like her season, really. She only spoke up when she was talking to Julie.
Krista: She really got the short end of the stick, and she was always listed as "recent divorcee." That's so strange. She was a ghost.
Adam: If I was on the show, I would like to be listed as Recent Blogger.
Krista: I want mine to say snarky TV reviewer. Adam, we should really be on it. We could be the secret pair.
Adam: So, what have you heard about the possibility of another winter Big Brother?
Krista: That's what I read on Mortystv.com. That would be fantastic! It couldn't be worst than the last winter edition.
Adam: Well, I will say I have talked to CBS, and they are being very tight-lipped. Maybe too tight-lipped.
Krista: Look at you, all "in the know". Tight-lipped means it's so on!
Adam: Nothing's official, but TVGuide.com will let everyone know as soon any announcement is made.
Krista: Where else would people look for important information? Keep it right here everyone!
Adam: Do you have a favorite moment of the season?
Krista: Jerry falling in the pool.
Adam: Cheater...you stole mine...
Krista: Hahaha! We can share it. And April getting kicked out on her nasty behind.
Adam: How long until April realizes she's become a YouTube sex queen?
Krista: Hopefully she's already crying somewhere in utter shame...
Adam: Since you took Jerry's pool fall, I'll give a tie to Brian's puppet show and Dan's Renny impression.
Krista: Good call on the puppet show. That was classic!
Adam: Oh, and Ollie's fear of "Albert Hitch-hock's" birds.
Krista: Yes! I like Ollie and hope he gets over his fear of birds and finds a nice young woman to get involved with for real.
Adam: Final thoughts on this season?
Krista: It was a huge step up from Season 9 and I was very pleased with the houseguests and the turmoil in the house. it was a competitive season and I'm salivating for BB11.
Adam: Yeah, definitely a lot better that BB9. And honestly, this season was a gameplayer's season. Even the floaters had some shining moments. It was drama-, sex-, and backstabbing-filled. Just the way Big Brother should be!
Krista: I couldn't have said it better myself. And as always, it's been a pleasure working with you. And big thanks go out to the loyal posters for making it so much fun. I truly enjoy it.
Adam: For real, the posters were blowing it up this season. And I was so happy to see we brought in some new faces. I honestly feel like we should keep the blog alive in some form between now and next season so the "sewing circle" can keep me entertained.
Krista: Indeed! A great bunch of people.
Adam: Well, I'll make one last plea for questions. I will be speaking to Memphis and Dan tomorrow, so if anyone has a burning question, let me know, and I'll try to work it in. In the meantime, it's been my (guilty) pleasure to cover the show for you all, and I cant wait to see you guys back next season. Hopefully this winter!
Krista: Ask Memphis to send me that picture of him with the sunglasses...Hahaha. j/k
Adam: You're totally not kidding.
Krista: You're right. I'm totally not. Tell him to call me! See you soon, everyone!
