October 30, 2006: Adios, Agnese

It finally happened. We finally saw those sparks and moments where you think, "OK, these two really like each other," I was begging for last week. We finally saw Prince Lorenzo let his emotions go and completely lose himself with one of the girls. And here I am, moments after the rose ceremony, speechless because the girl Lorenzo had all those emotions for was sent home.

She may not speak English very well, but Agnese perfectly summed up the reason she didn't get a rose when she was riding home in the limo: "He use more head than heart." Now I know last week a lot of us were surprised Agnese had made it through the next round. But after tonight's episode I was convinced Lorenzo was able to overlook the language barrier and that in three weeks he'd be getting down on one knee asking Agnese to be his princess. Just the way he kept looking at her, and how genuine he was with her family about how much he cared for her, and how romantic he kept saying their gondola ride was, and the way he couldn't stop kissing her at the end of the night. He even admitted that "I care for her and I'm not afraid to show it" after crying when saying goodbye to her. So I'm still not sure why he made the decision to end it with her so soon.

And yet the girl who tried on a freakin' wedding dress in front of him got a rose. I mean, come on. First of all, with all the wedding research Lisa does, she should know it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride in a wedding dress. Actually, the "first of all" I should have really written was: How cute was Lisa's dog? Secondly, it was what, their fourth date? Wasn't that the most obvious sign that Lisa was only in this to get married? All right, maybe I shouldn't be so judgmental, maybe Lorenzo took one look at her in that white dress and envisioned her as the one who'd walk down the aisle to become his princess. I can't see what's going on in that head of his. But I do remember Lorenzo telling Lisa he didn't agree with people who live life on a timeline. And Lisa's friend just told him she was one of those people. Hmm.

Not that watching Lorenzo's dates with Jen and Sadie helped me narrow it down. Sadie kind of got on my nerves at first with all the squealing and jumping up and down, but she's just so sweet and I do see some real chemistry between her and Lorenzo, especially during their bonfire on the beach. And the same goes for Jen - her and Lorenzo seemed to love spending time together on the boat, but he did look pretty nervous when her dad gave him the third degree.

So we're down to the final three, who is it going to be? Keep your comments coming, it's fun to read what everyone else thinks!
