More on the New Batman Coming to DVD!

Following yesterday's release of
Justice League: The New Frontier, Warner Home Video has confirmed the on-sale date for the next DVD collaboration between Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics.
Batman: Gotham Knight arrives July 8 and includes six anime-style chapters that bridge the gap between the 2005 movie
Batman Returns and
The Dark Knight, opening July 18.
Story writers include David S. Goyer (
Batman Begins,
Blade: The Series), Josh Olson (
A History of Violence) and comic scribe Greg Rucka (
52,
Checkmate). Japanese filmmakers Shojiro Nishimi, Futoshi Higashide, Hiroshi Morioka, Yasuhiro Aoki and Toshiyuki Kubooka directed the shorts. Scarecrow, Killer Croc and Deadshot are the featured villains.
Gotham Knight will be available on DVD and Blu-ray. Bonus features include a sneak peak at the next Warner/DC animated movie,
Wonder Woman. -
