Debut: A four-part tour of U.S. National Park hotels that “reflect the wilderness that surrounds them while providing shelter from it,” says narrator Ted Roisum. First up: The lodges of Yellowstone and Yosemite. Yellowstone's rustic Old Faithful Inn, which opened in 1904 and boasts a 76-foot high lobby, set “the benchmark for park-lodge architecture,” says Yellowstone archivist Lee Whittlesey.” And the luxurious and majestic Ahwanee Hotel in Yosemite, built in 1927, is “the most elegant hotel in the national parks,” says author Christine Barnes.
