Episode Synopsis: Hank attempts to track down the mystery love of Ashby's life and later walks in on Sonja's boyfriend in flagrante with a rocker chick he's been mentoring. At the same time, Hank takes a liking to a Rolling Stone reporter who's profiling Mia; and Charlie and Marcy's house is used for a porn-movie shoot, during which he fills in for one of the film's climactic moments. Premise: The carnal escapades of a New York City novelist who relocates to Los Angeles when one of his books is turned into a movie and he's pegged to work on the screenplay. After overcoming writer's block, he takes a job ghostwriting a famous record producer's memoir and later teaches a college course in creative writing.
