Episode Synopsis: The “curse” is still in force as Annie and Patrick's wedding day arrives. Jane and Annie's brother Danny (Josh Randall) arrive from New York (separately), but Annie's dad (Colm Meaney) hasn't arrived yet. Not that her mom (Annie Potts) minds---she hits it off with Jerome, who's behaving strangely. Meanwhile, Jack is scheduled to leave for his nine-month Bering Sea assignment; and Cash shows up at Marin's cabin at a very opportune moment. Original Air Date: Nov 16, 2007

'Nice Day for a Dry Wedding'

I feared it the second that Mario Cantone slipped the barrette into Patrick's hair. In that instant, the purpose of the fierce winds and looming rain, coupled with the "contusions and hemorrhaging" promo for this week's episode, became clear. Elmo's undeniably cursed wedding would be cut short by a struck-down groom.Funny, when you think about it, that a lightning strike came at a time when the word "strike" is in all the headlines.OK, a tiny bit funny. I never said hysterical.By the way, it's Matt Mitovich here again. The resolution of last week's cliffhanger was a bit pat and anticlimactic. Cash lobs a few rocks at the wolves and all is good? Cop-out! So, this would have been the Season 1 finale. I appreciate that Men in Trees isn't all about the angst, the over-dramatic cliffhangers, when it very easily could be and so many other shows are.
